Reply to Walter Russel Meade's Anti Global Warming Screed

There is another Greek term which quite aptly applies to the foregoing screed on this blog: Delphic. It misdirects the poor, misguided “rabble” in much the same way as they are shackled in Plato’s myth of the cave. It pretends to be oracular like those priests of Delphi, when in actual fact it is only babbling on about the illusory shadows cast on the cave wall. There is the malodorous whiff of a Karl Popper-like enraged hatred of Plato that pervades this blog.
The truth is that our “Republic” was set up as the rule of the wise. But the wise are not the oligarchs that whipped up the rabble for Socrates’ judicial murder on the specious charge that he was blaspheming the gods (who, of course, were made in the image of those very same capricious oligarchs that hated Socrates.) The wise are not the Harvard Boston Brahmins, who along with their British kissing cousins traded in opium and grew wealthy on their ill gotten gains. Their heirs are today’s one worlders and radical environmentalists, just as in the past they were the back to nature Boston Brahmin sponsored transcendental “frogpondians,” to use Edgar Alan Poe’s term.
Mr Swift not only saw through the control of faked”science” by them in his tale of Laputa, he also saw through their control over politics with their tactic of setting the populace at each others throats over nothing more than which side of the egg they chose to crack. This is what the Lilliputians were going to war over. This is the tactic of creating a gang and a counter gang. Like Kitson’s Mau Mau operation.
So, while it is quite the truth that global warming is junk science like the Laputans carried out. We must not fall into the Delphic snare of irrational populist hatred of true science. For the truth is that it is the destiny of humanity to defeat today’s would be Olympian gods that hate the Promethean nature of science to transform society by uplifting the standard of living of the “rabble’” through ever more breakthroughs in discovery and control of energy dense technologies. Today that means nuclear energy from a virtually unlimited supply of thorium, tomorrow it means thermonuclear fusion. Farther down along the road we will discover how to control matter/anti-matter reactions.

This “noisy” phenotype is usually attributed to the inherent stochasticity of chemical reactions in the cell. Here we demonstrate how the observed single-cell heterogeneity can be explained by a cascade of decisions occurring at the subcellular level. We follow the postinfection decision in bacteriophage lambda at single-virus resolution, and show that a choice between lysis and lysogeny is first made at the level of the individual virus. The decisions by all viruses infecting a single cell are then integrated in a precise (noise-free) way, such that only a unanimous vote by all viruses leads to the establishment of lysogeny. By detecting and integrating over the subcellular “hidden variables,” we are able to predict the level of noise measured at the single-cell level.

A Classic Case of Manipulation of Misplaced Rage

The NY Post headline has a clarion tone this morning meant to enrage its dupe readers by misdirecting their palpable ire at Greece. "We're bailing out Greece--but US taxpayers shouldn't be" it screams. What a joke. As I point out in my retort:

What all the articles about Greece conveniently fail to mention is that the bailout will pass right through Greece to the creditor banks. Just like the $100 billion for AIG wound up in the pockets of financier bucket shop fraudsters like Goldman Sucks. I say put these international gambling casinos derivatives through chapter 11. Force through an international Glass Steagall now! The solution: Go back to sovereign fixed currencies and issue national credits for large scale infrastructure projects, etc.


Or you can't fool all the people all of the time.  Seems like almost every Post I survey these days has been despoiled by the vagrant dogs of the press.

(PhysOrg.com) -- A bladeless wind turbine whose only rotating component is a turbine/driveshaft could generate power at a cost comparable to coal-fired power plants, according to its developers at Solar Aero. The New Hampshire-based company recently announced its patent on the Fuller wind turbine, which is an improvement on a patent issued to Nikola Tesla in 1913.
If one Googles Lisa Zyga one finds an astonishing array of the most arrant balderdash imaginable. This persona is obviously a hoaxer. For instance, "Scientists model words as entangled quantum states in our minds." Mr E.A. Poe gave us a number of such pranks in his day.
But then again, as the narrator, Cide Hamete Benegeli, of Don Quixote often fondly quoted Avicenna as saying: "The whole world is crazy." For instance, compare how Hawking's latest reveries on hostile aliens and time warps puts him in the same league with Newton's alchemical ravings that Keynes (quite the madman in his own right, you understand) unearthed.

(PhysOrg.com) -- It seems a little strange for statistical physicists to consider questions of morality in behavior. However, that is is just what a study at ETH in Zurich, Switzeralnd, is doing. Led by Dirk Helbing, the study used game theory to consider how moral behavior arises from interactions with neighbors. Instead of moral behavior developing from an individual's interactions with society as a whole, Helbing's group discovered that there is a good chance that interactions with the individuals nearest to a person lead to the development of moral behavior.
This is a laughable monstrosity of an "experiment." It is merely a rehashing of Adam Smith's moral relativism. Which is to say that mankind cannot take responsibility for the outcome of its primal drives. This is nothing but an apology for the immorality of an oligarchical elite (technocrats in today's vernacular) having its way with a bovine-like, brutish populace. It is the opposite of why America's constitutional republic was founded. We Americans, at least during our best administrations have been governed by the principle that future generations should hold us morally responsible for providing a legacy of something better... This has been the motto of immigrants to these shores from before our revolution. This reported sociological drivel is a mockery of true science.

The Ugly Truth About Paul Krugman

So the Nobel laureate opines today thusly:
Consider what Greece would get if it simply stopped paying any interest or principal on its debt. All it would have to do then is run a zero primary deficit — taking in as much in taxes as it spends on things other than interest on its debt. But here’s the thing: Greece is currently running a huge primary deficit — 8.5 percent of GDP in 2009. So even a complete debt default wouldn’t save Greece from the necessity of savage fiscal austerity.
An astute blogger shoots back:

Mr. Krugman your world view is full of debt slavery.

Greece should leave the tyrannical European Union and then if it wishes can devalue their currency but not too much.
I respond:

Precisely correct on Krugman's worldview. When he utters "the necessity of savage fiscal austerity," you can almost imagine the fangs emerging from his dracula-like bloodlust. This is the type of mentality which is caused by the ideology of monetarism, i.e. the worship of money as an end unto itself. Thanks for being so forthright as to exhibit your true inner self Mr. Krugman. Bravo.

P.S.  The NY Slimes hasn't seen fit to post my remarks on the venereal pages. I can only take this to understand that I must have violated their abuse policy. Perhaps I was too hard on Count Dracula...

This, dear blog reader, is all a large load of manure. What is needed to power modern society is increasing energy density not diffuse wind power. That takes us backward several hundred years. (What would Don Quixote think of us fools?) As an astute commenter has already observed here, we have enough thorium for a thousand years. So why do we kowtow to at best misguided fools? Simply put:the agenda of radical environmentalism is to reduce the population. And there is big money behind this agenda. It doesn't take rocket science to see through the charade.

So let's see what is salient about Mr. Blankfein's testimony yesterday. First, I point to his fulsome adulation of Obama and his brand of  financial "reform." Maybe this explains why Obama was so heavily favored by Goldman's political contributions.  Of course, they were his top donor. (Even beating out George Soros.) But then Goldman always hedges their political bets in a thoroughly agile and timely manner, as the latest Wall Street psychobabble would put it. After all wasn't it Hank Paulson, he of Goldman stack who went on bended knee, hat in hand, crocodile tears and all to Pelosi and begged for a bailout? And Goldman got it too, didn't they? Straight from the Treasury to AIG to Goldman. Thanks Uncle Sam, you sucker! Of course, Blankfein says he would have got his pound of flesh anyway. Yes that's right. 200,000 teachers are being laid off now and Goldman, and the buggers on Wall St wallow in it. This simply is a noisome and odious disgrace and cancer upon the body politic which must be amended if we hope to ever truly prosper again.

If we submit ourselves to the mathematical description chosen by Heisenberg, et al, to represent so-called quantum processes, we are in essence submitting to a dogma of irrationality. The choice of  a matrix algebra of eigenstates based upon statistical probability is doubly unfortunate in this regard. Ah but the critic will respond that this choice of mathematics works. Actually, if one delves into the descriptive functions that are spliced in an ad hoc fashion time and time again in order to save the mathematical edifice from crumbling such as "operators" as an example, the fact is there is no necessity for embedding the fallacies of statistics and Grassmanian reductionism into the study of quantum physics. Rather, it is quite possible to envisage a wonderful coherence along the lines that Leibniz limns in his Monadology in the kind of superpositions that quantum systems evince. This, I believe, is quite the opposite to the gratuitous importing of the absurd into science which bled over into so much of the oeuvre of the "intellengentsia" during the twentieth century. Take Schopenhauer (please!) for instance.

I have maintained consistently for some time now the primacy of spiral orbitals along the surface of horn torii as a toy model for Riemannian metastable shockwave transformations through the singularity at its center. This toy model serves not only to adumbrate physical transformations, but also the historical impact of revolutionary ideas upon the functioning of society. The research illustrated above where a super cooled rubidium atom spirals toward a highly charged carbon nanowire and is subsequently stripped of an electron that tunnels into the tube while the resulting ion is repulsed is, I believe, an elegant demonstration of this principle.

Spirals occur as radiative processes move through spacetime. Imagine the orbit of the earth around the sun as the sun orbits the galaxy as the galaxy orbits its own group, etc. Embedded spirals. Here is an illustration of a spiral from a joint black hole star system whose anomalous physics is not well understood.


However, there are few attempts to model these radiative pathways as a field. Penrose's Twistor Theory is one such. However, his attempt to locate consciousness as a quantum effect is as misguided as Descartes' the pineal gland is the location of the soul. 

The Quixotic quest for a physical location of mind or soul is a result of a teleology or search for a final cause which is simply wrong. The assumption that that there is a frankly rather magical yet undiscovered physical explanation for human consciousness is due to a mode of thinking that assumes that substance is equivalent to mere physical sensation. This should have been abandoned once and for all after Leibniz devastatingly proved that the mind is of a different order that physical substance. That is, the mind is an indissoluble whole having no parts. It cannot be divided. Physical substance, meaning everything other than mind that may be conceived on the other hand may be divided. (The seeming paradox of individual quantum states, notwithstanding. For the condition of superposition shows that these states too are divisible via decoherence because of the very fact they exist as divisible quanta.) The mind in this sense participates as a kind of non-other to use Nicholas of Cusa's term. As Leibniz determined the mind is a sort of miniature creator reflecting the universal creative process of becoming. Or what is in Christian terms called Imago Viva Dei. The problem is that the materialists like Penrose can't stomach these truths, the which are not self evident, they are proven.

Lowly Proteins Are Much Smarter Than Sir Isaac Newton

As is well known, (in some circles) the hoaxer Newton believed in magical pairwise action a distance instead of Kepler's principle of gravitation based upon elliptical functions. This mathematical fakery of predicting paths of points colliding and interacting with other points led later to disturbing  problems for the whole reductionist scheme known as the three body problem. Riemann addressed this dilemma in formal mathematics through developing a tool known as a multiply connected manifold. This article on protein research at Johns Hopkins further elucidates why in the biological substrate, biospherical processes are ordered very elegantly and lawfully not by pairwise interactions à la Newtonian quackery but instead by multi-modal/dimensional biological functions. Therefor providing more evidence, if any were needed that life even at its most elemental level, in this case proteins are much smarter than Newton was.

Using a method they developed to watch moment to moment as they move a molecule to precise sites inside live human cells, Johns Hopkins scientists are closer to understanding why and how a protein at one location may signal division and growth, and the same protein at another location, death.
Their research, published Feb. 14 inNature Methods, expands on a more limited method using a chemical tool to move proteins inside of cells to the periphery, a locale known as the plasma membrane.
"Where a particular protein is activated and the timing of that activation influence how a cell responds to outside stimulus," says Takanari Inoue, Ph.D., an assistant professor of cell biology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. "Our goal with this newly expanded tool is to manipulate protein activities in many places in cells on a rapid timescale."
Cells cleverly have resolved the predicament of needing to respond to a near infinite array of external stimuli — temperature, for instance — even though they employ only a limited number of molecular players. The notion is that a single protein assumes multiple roles by changing its location or altering the speed and duration of activation.
Chemical signaling inside cells connects protein molecules through complex feedback loops and crosstalk, Inoue says, so knowing exactly how each protein contributes to which signals at what locations requires the ability to rapidly move proteins of interest to specific organelles found in cells. These include mitochondria (the power generators of cells) and Golgi bodies (the delivery systems of cells).
The Hopkins team chose the signaling protein Ras as the molecule it would attempt to send packing throughout a cell's interior. A regulator of cell growth that's often implicated in cancer, Ras has been long studied and it's known to be a molecular switch. However, no one has had the ability to discern what Ras does at different locations such as Golgi bodies and mitrochondria, much less what happens when Ras is activated simultaneously at any combination of these and other organelles.
Working with live human HeLa cells and Ras under a microscope, the team used a dimerization probe consisting of a special small molecule that simultaneously attracts two proteins that wouldn't normally have an affinity for each other and binds them together. In this system, one of the partner proteins is anchored to an organelle and the other is free floating inside the cell. Adding a chemical dimerizer induces the free protein to join the tethered one.
Using scissor-like enzymes, the team sliced and diced the DNA of the paired proteins to change the molecular address of its destination. They cut out the "mailing address" — known as a targeting sequence — that formerly delivered the protein unit to the plasma membrane and replaced it with new addresses (targeting sequences) that shipped it instead to specific organelles.
"We were able to manipulate protein activities in situ and very rapidly on each individual organelle," Inoue said. "Ultimately, this will help us to better understand protein function at these critical cellular components."

Now, it just so happens that we have on this planet enough thorium resources for nuclear energy production to last at the current consumption rate for a thousand years. Now, of course, we are told that we have to cut back on "entitlements" by the usual suspects in the  Democratic and Republican parties' "think tanks." Why? Because of course, we have limited resources, don't you know. Our economy just can't support this inordinate spending on medical technology.  We can and we must bailout the too big to fail insane speculative schemers, on the other hand.Or so goes the Pete Peterson and his ilk's argument. Well, you can be a pessimistic sucker if you want. But just maybe you might want to be an optimistic human being. The choice is yours.

Here is a somewhat lengthy quote from a National "Science" Foundation article that should convince anyone who is skeptical about the social engineering subversion of so-called climate science.


"FAIRFAX, Va., March 29, 2010—In a time when only a handful of TV news stations employ a dedicated science reporter, TV weathercasters may seem like the logical people to fill that role, and in many cases they do.
In the largest and most representative survey of television weathercasters to date, George Mason University’s Center for Climate Change Communication shows that two-thirds of weathercasters are interested in reporting on climate change, and many say they are already filling a role as an informal science educator.
“Our surveys of the public have shown that many Americans are looking to their local TV weathercaster for information about global warming,” says Edward Maibach, director of the Center for Climate Change Communication. “The findings of this latest survey show that TV weathercasters play—or can play—an important role as informal climate change educators.”  
According to the survey, climate change is already one of the most common science topics TV weathercasters discuss—most commonly at speaking events, but also at the beginning or end of their on-air segments, on blogs and web sites, on the radio and in newspaper columns.
Weathercasters also indicated that they are interested in personalizing the story for their local viewers—reporting on local stories such as potential flooding/drought, extreme heat events, air quality and crops. About one-quarter of respondents said they have already seen evidence of climate change in their local weather patterns.
“Only about 10 percent of TV stations have a dedicated specialist to cover these topics,” says University of Texas journalism professor Kristopher Wilson, a collaborator on the survey. “By default, and in many cases by choice, science stories become the domain of the only scientifically trained person in the newsroom—weathercasters.”
Many of the weathercasters said that having access to resources such as climate scientists to interview and high-quality graphics and animations to use on-air would increase their ability to educate the public about climate change.
However, despite their interest in reporting more on this issue, the majority of weathercasters (61 percent) feel there is a lot of disagreement among scientists about the issue of global warming. Though 54 percent indicated that global warming is happening, 25 percent indicated it isn’t, and 21 percent say they don’t know yet.
“A recent survey showed that more than 96 percent of leading climate scientists are convinced that global warming is real and that human activity is a significant cause of the warming,” says Maibach.  “Climate scientists may need to make their case directly to America’s weathercasters, because these two groups appear to have a very different understanding about the scientific consensus on climate change.”   
This survey is one part of a National Science Foundation-funded research project on meteorologists. Using this data, Maibach and his research team will next conduct a field test of 30-second, broadcast-quality educational segments that TV weathercasters can use in their daily broadcasts to educate viewers about the link between predicted (or current) extreme weather events in that media market and the changing global climate.
Ultimately, the team hopes to answer key research questions supporting efforts to activate TV meteorologists nationwide as an important source of informal science education about climate change."

Anyway, I was just reading LaRouche's latest writing about Venice's takeover of Britain's monarchy via agents like Zorzi (aka Giorgi, whose Harmony of the Sphere's is parodied in Swift's isle of Laputa, as in the whorish false scientists) when I came across the issue of Cabbalism in the Merchant of Venice and the startling visual reference to that in the Globe theater. England at the time was overdosed with the occult. Robert Burton's depiction of the Rosicrucian's romp through jolly old England in his mystical book Anatomy of Melancholy gives a flavor of this. This continued unabated til the present, Isaac Newton's later alchemical magic wasn't a fluke. John Dee was at that time the real cabalistic 007head of British "intelligence," whose use of magic and drugs culminates today in the current British unleashing of the Crowleyan "Do what thou wilt" counterculture at her Satanic Majesty's request.

So it seems Obama's new appointee to head up Medicare/Medicaid Donald Berman has much in common with Sir Mick Jagger. (Please refer to blog below for more on this.) It is proudly proclaimed in his CV on his organization's website (given the Orwellian misnomer of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement): "In 2005, he was appointed “Honorary Knight Commander of the British Empire” by the Queen of England in honor of his work with the British National Health Service." How very N.I.C.E. -- as exampled in the following reportage:

Did you know dear reader that there is living in our world a 17 year old girl who is still developmentally an eleven month old infant! She has never aged past infancy and seems frozen in time, it is amazing that this is not a tremendous cause célèbre. Although, on second thought, most of what passes for successful celebrity these days is the most banal nonsense imaginable. 


What if our media were focused upon bringing before our populace questions of signal import like unraveling whether there exists an underlying regulator of biological development? This would surely promote the general welfare, don't you think?

The Ironic Universe: updated

"Distant galaxy clusters mysteriously stream at a million miles per hour along a path roughly centered on the southern constellations Centaurus and Hydra. A new study led by Alexander Kashlinsky at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., tracks this collective motion -- dubbed the "dark flow" -- to twice the distance originally reported."

This dark flow motion together with cosmological electromagnetic anisotropy (or birefringent polarization) together seem to point to some sort of directed universal evolution of even supposed inorganic matter that no sanitized purely mathematical model can account for. It is evidence that no matter how long one attempts to achieve a so-called unified field theory the universe will always present us with some unexpected singularities due to its continuing evolution. We will forever be baffled by the fact that the universe always seems to surprise us.

Here's yet another irony in the news:

"Sunspots are supposedly rooted to the bottom of the belt," says Hathaway. "So the motion of sunspots tells us how fast the belt is moving down there."

He's done that—plotted sunspot speeds vs. time since 1996—and the results don't make sense. "While the top of the conveyor belt has been moving at record-high speed, the bottom seems to be moving at record-low speed. Another contradiction."

Could it be that sunspots are not rooted to the bottom of the Conveyor Belt, after all? "That's one possibility" he notes. "Sunspots could be moving because of dynamo waves or some other phenomenon not directly linked to the belt."

The fine structure constant has a directional anisotropy.

"And it seems to be supporting this idea that there could be a directionality in the universe, which is very weird indeed," Professor Webb says.

"So the universe may not be isotropic in its laws of physics - one that is the same, statistically, in all directions. But in fact, there could be some direction or preferred direction in the universe where the laws of physics change, but not in the perpendicular direction. In other words, the universe in some sense, has a dipole structure to it.

"In one particular direction, we can look back 12 billion light years and measure electromagnetism when the universe was very young. Putting all the data together, electromagnetism seems to gradually increase the further we look, while towards the opposite direction, it gradually decreases. In other directions in the cosmos, the fine structure constant remains just that - constant. These new very distant measurements have pushed our observations further than has ever been reached before."

K-State study reveals asymmetry in spin directions of galaxies
The patterns span over more than 4 billion light-years, but the asymmetry in that range is not uniform. The study found that the asymmetry gets higher when the galaxies are more distant from Earth, which shows that the early universe was more consistent and less chaotic than the current universe.

But the patterns do not just show that the universe is not symmetric, but also that the asymmetry changes in different parts of the universe, and the differences exhibit a unique pattern of multipoles.

"If the universe has an axis, it is not a simple single axis like a merry-go-round," Shamir said. "It is a complex alignment of multiple axes that also have a certain drift."

Why is there a normal galaxy sitting at the edge of the universe?

"Massive stars blow powerful winds, supernovae detonate like flashbulbs, and all that energy released should stir the gas up in the galaxy, making it irregularly shaped (plus, that early in the age of the Universe there just hadn't been a lot of time to get organized). Most distant galaxies we see are indeed blobby. The fact that this galaxy has a disk that appears to be pretty calm and stable is bizarre."

"Interestingly, it’s not alone. Earlier in 2020 astronomers announced they found a disk galaxy at about the same distance, called the Wolfe Galaxy. Like this one, it’s not understood how it can exist. Clearly, the theoretical models are wrong, or at least (and more likely) incomplete. Obviously, there’s more to learn about galaxies that exist at the edge of the observable Universe."

Scientists Detect Hints of Strange New Physics in The Universe's Background Radiation

"The Giant Arc, which is approximately 1/15th the radius of the observable universe, shows as an enormous, nearly symmetrical, crescent of galaxies in the remote Universe. It is twice the size of the striking Sloan Great Wall of galaxies and clusters that is seen in the nearby Universe. This new discovery of the Giant Arc adds to an accumulating set of (cautious) challenges to the Cosmological Principle."

"But what is removing the cold gas from the galaxies? Astronomers are stumped, and will have to continue their observations to find clues to this great galactic mystery. “We still have so much to learn about why the most massive galaxies formed so early in the Universe and why they shut down their star formation when so much cold gas was readily available to them,” said Whitaker. “The mere fact that these massive beasts of the cosmos formed 100 billion stars within about a billion years and then suddenly shut down their star formation is a mystery we would all love to solve, and REQUIEM has provided the first clue.”"

Strange radio waves emerge from direction of the galactic centre

"Astronomers have discovered unusual signals coming from the direction of the Milky Way’s centre. The radio waves fit no currently understood pattern of variable radio source and could suggest a new class of stellar object.

“The strangest property of this new signal is that it is has a very high polarisation. This means its light oscillates in only one direction, but that direction rotates with time,” said Ziteng Wang, lead author of the new study and a PhD student in the School of Physics at the University of Sydney.

“The brightness of the object also varies dramatically, by a factor of 100, and the signal switches on and off apparently at random. We’ve never seen anything like it.”"

Mysterious, Swirling Waves Discovered in the Sun – Incredible Speed Defies Explanation

"Researchers from NYU Abu Dhabi’s (NYUAD) Center for Space Science have discovered a new set of waves in the Sun that, unexpectedly, appear to travel much faster than predicted by theory.

"In the study, Discovery of high-frequency-retrograde vorticity waves in the Sun, published in the journal Nature Astronomy, the researchers — led by Research Associate Chris S. Hanson — detailed how they analyzed 25 years of space and ground-based data to detect these waves. The high-frequency retrograde (HFR) waves — which move in the opposite direction of the Sun’s rotation — appear as a pattern of vortices (swirling motions) on the surface of the Sun and move at three times the speed established by current theory.

"Complex interactions between other well known waves and magnetism, gravity, or convection could drive the HFR waves at this speed. “If the HFR waves could be attributed to any of these three processes, then the finding would have answered some open questions we still have about the Sun,” said Hanson. “However, these new waves don’t appear to be a result of these processes, and that’s exciting because it leads to a whole new set of questions.”"

"While the data indicates they are likely galaxies, I think there is a real possibility that a few of these objects turn out to be obscured supermassive black holes. Regardless, the amount of mass we discovered means that the known mass in stars at this period of our universe is up to 100 times greater than we had previously thought. Even if we cut the sample in half, this is still an astounding change."
