I can't say I oppose this agenda because it is breaking the Russian energy monopoly over most of Europe. was a trained lawyer, born in 1732 in Massachusetts, a graduate

Trowbridge, in 1769 King's Attorney in New Hampshire, Attor-

ney General of the State in 1776. He sat on the bench however

with three associates who were not lawyers, and he himself was in-

tolerant of legal precedent. It is said that in charging the jury,

he used to caution them "against paying too much attention to the

niceties of the law to the prejudice of Justice"; and when re-

minded of previous rulings of his own, contrary to his present rul-

ing, he would reply that "every tub must stand on its own bottom."




Jeremiah Mason says, in his autobiography, that Benjamin

West, "by far the best lawyer in this region of the country", told

him this anecdote of Livermore, as illustrating the uselessness of

citing precedents. "Judge Livermore, having no law learning

Hearing Sound: The Case of Whale Bones and Elephant Feet: or Why the Human Mind is not Confined to Mere Sense Certainty

Viewing sound as a form of energy propagation that is among the elements transformed for animals' survival, it is lawful that there might be a coincidence of capture of sound waves for diverse species with similar throughput and metabolism. So we find a functional connection between whales and elephants that confirms a principle of ordering in the biosphere of our planet. Thus, regarded from that standpoint, we have a one to one mapping in the functionally vectored phase space of sound.

Our knowledge of such a principle is not garnered through our own sensory apparatus, but instead through application of a distinct and unique ability of humanity to capture and transform an analogous wave-like transmission of creative thought from generation to generation. The Struggle to Survive and Energy Throughput of Species

The differentiation of species is characterized overall by the energetic means through which they are perpetuated. If a global shift in conditions vitiates the predominate form of energy capture and utilization of a species or group of species, then that type of life form is supplanted so long as it is possible for new species to achieve a harmonic metastability.

The function of mitochondrial ATP synthase is a universal limiting factor for such energy reduction across all biological domains. It is analogous to a constant for the inorganic such as the speed of light or fine structure. The ATP enzymatic development of energy reduction in living monads represents a singularity which separates the organic from the  inorganic. It represents a qualitatively superior and distinct organizing principle comparable metaphorically to Cantor's treatment of transfinite infinities.

The only continuation in this higher order of energetic speciation that we know of up to now, is the strictly unique human development to further evolve by the acquisition of the knowledge to control fire for cooking food. It is the only way the human brain's relative enlargement over other primates were possible. This is what differentiates our species uniquely from all less evolved life. However, it does not end there. Given the shift in conditions wrought by the advent of such Promethean evolution, the need to acquire new technological means to further improve the conditions of human health and lifespan requires a continuous non-linear improvement in control over energy throughput via more condensed forms.

To deny all this, as do the fanatic proponents of the back to nature dogmatists, is to deny our unique humanity. This is the only fundamental conflict that operates as a driving motif in the history of mankind. The oligarchical worldview is a desperate mandate to put the genie back in the bottle and to deny that there is a higher universal ordering purpose for humanity. Thus the mythical figure of Zeus seeks to perpetually enchain and punish the quality of mind that Prometheus represents. Any nation or group that seeks to continue the inescapable development of energy must be defeated by such bestial logic. Thus today as China leads in an effort to mine Helium 3 from the moon for the heretofore most energy dense form of controlled nuclear fusion, the inheritors of the bestial outlook must seek and destroy that very development.

Beethoven's Ninth and Remembering the Future

This past week I had the inestimable pleasure to attend a performance of the composer's ultimate symphonic gift. The last symphony I experienced had left me with an urge to identify the process that Beethoven's compositions evolved that draws in the listener to experience a delight in harnessing the creative faculty. It especially is striking in the passage from one movement to the next. Near the end of the first movement of the ninth there is a passage that has a sostenuto underlain with a counterpoint evoking the grand opus of masterworks of J.S. Bach. But more than this, this signals a sort of musical memory for the future development yet to come.

If one's mindset is that events just chaotically happen and that therefore humanity can only hang on as hapless spectators at some incomprehensible orgy of a modern day Roman circus, then all that our ever loving purblind elite does for their own good does make sense. This morning we have been regaled by a conditioned response of our media analogous to a  abreactive mental breakdown.  Why? Because the unthinkable may be about to happen. Is it an all out nuclear war that would wipe out humanity once and for all? No. It's the death of ... Hollywood (gasp.)

Then would a new dawn arise wherein we would be intolerant of naught but the uplifting geniality and grace of beauty? Well, we know that the insatiable appetite for solutions to our manifold crises is a possibility at least. Let there be light. The light of thermonuclear fire and beyond. There is a way out.

If anyone, given the leisure, decides to compare all forms of development to extract their common principle, nothing could come immediately emotionally closer than the final movement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. In it, Beethoven composes an encapsulated recapitulation of the previous three movements in a dramatic fugal dialog that provokes a breathtaking crisis and demonstrates its resolution in the human choir performing Schiller's Ode to Joy.

Augustine laid the groundwork for the Renaissance in his struggle to overcome the Manichean dogma that evil has a co-equal substance with goodness. Today's claim by the heirs of Bertrand Russell that one can reduce the human mind to the one's and zeros of computer code is in essence this very same Manichean doctrine  in a new suit of clothes. The oft heard refrain that God is to blame for allowing evil to flourish (for instance in Twain's Mysterious Stranger tale) is the type of mental crisis that the Ninth Symphony exemplifies. Such was the libertine complaint against Leibniz in the rather silly portrayal of him as Voltaire's Pangloss.

All of history going forward or backward can be subsumed by this great division in worldview about the role and purpose of human activity. We are as on a perpetual precipice overlooking a maelstrom that must be resolved if we are to move forward. The choice is omnipresent and constitutes the only meaningful definition of scientific and artistic beauty that exists.

This video from a research paper called "Whipping of electrified jets" is remarkable in that it exemplifies several principles that I have been promoting in this blog. Viewing the transition of apparent chaotic extrusion of fibers to a regular helicoid pathway is very much a metaphor for a principle of development on many levels of meaning.

Thus in this experiment the receiving fluid's relative motion is what determines the coherent formation of the helicoid. This signifies a necessary sort of well tempering in response to a singularity.

So on the functional multiply connected manifold of human practice we can view history as chaotic thing-like disordered mere happenstances. Or by understanding that there are only two possible principles of rule for society at large.

One of an irrational oligarchy committed to destroy the fruits of human creativity and crush its wellspring. This is the current of the Olympian pantheon of false gods ruled over by an evil and feared madman sometimes called Zeus or Juno (or today's chaos theory) depending upon the time or place.

The other a Constitutional Republic in the sense of Plato, Nicolas of Cusa and Benjamin Franklin's taking up of the principle in doing the good for posterity. Today that concretely signifies a mission of transforming the culture to be receptive to a change based upon the next great step. The government of China has  announced that they are committed to such a transformation in industrializing and mining the moon for the most advanced fuel source yet known: Helium 3.

The latest revelation from the cache of Snowden intercepted NSA documents shows that their strategy equates the national security of the United States with sabotaging an alternative to the moribund dollar denominated banking system. As dangerous as the NSA's violation of individual rights and due process is in itself, this exposé in the words of Glenn Greenwald quoting the document "anticipates a series of potential scenarios the U.S. may face in 2025, from a “China/Russia/India/Iran centered bloc [that] challenges U.S. supremacy” to a world in which “identity-based groups supplant nation-states,” and games out how the U.S. intelligence community should operate in those alternative futures—the idea being to assess “the most challenging issues [the U.S.] could face beyond the standard planning cycle.”"

Currently, the BRICS nations are indeed creating an alternative credit system outside the IMF. Since the IMF, the U.S. Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, and the European Central Bank are all hell bent on propping up bankrupt and virtually zombie banks like Chase Manhattan through exacting austerity against their own populations and those of the so-called developing sector, this very mission of the NSA is not only encroaching upon foreign corporations' scientific research, as the article points out, but is intent on preventing a way out of the collapsed financial system. 

This constitutes a scale of criminality on the part of the NSA that goes beyond anything that has been revealed heretofore. For the sake of the future of not just the citizens of the United States but the world these thoroughly destructive plans must be eliminated. 

Edgar Allan Poe's Descent Into the Maelström and the Eve of Destruction: A Moral Lesson

For those old  (and unfortunate) enough to remember the Cuban missile crisis and the type of reaction produced by the "rock' song in the title of this tale, today's global geopolitical dilemma should seem peculiarly familiar. Here we have a worldwide concatenation of multiple crises so terrifying that like the protagonist in Poe's tale, merely confronting them is enough to turn one's hair snow white in an instant.

Now Poe, forevermore, dilated upon the proposition that great art was never didactic. But there is more than a bit of irony in his insistence if you know how to "read" the lion's share of Poe's works as political satires and for lack of a better word, treatises. It is no surprise then that Abe Lincoln admired Poe and evinced a similar puckish spirit throughout his many homespun apothegms. The continuously most applicable for all seasons being you can't fool all the the people all the time...

But like the the narrator in Poe's tale, we do have a lifeline for nepenthe and surcease of sorrow to the otherwise multiply connected crises of the Middle East conflagrations including the rise of the satanic ISIS, a looming global banking crash, the drought in California, threats of super earthquakes and cometary collisions, the now pandemic Ebola virus outbreak... oh, and last but not least , the threatened nuclear showdown with Russia over Ukraine. (Phew!)

The solution appears like a bolt out of the blue to the mind that can overcome an existential pit and pendulum-like crisis through application of a Keplerian method of non deductive scientific proceeding. And it is not a new moon hoax or fools gold in El Dorado... But it is a new monetary system that puts an end to the financial looting machinations of global proportions that lead to enforced immiseration and pandemics. A new monetary system, the seeds of which are in place which can resolve the apparently random epic ills that haunt us. And a new mission: mining the moon for Helium 3 to bring back the current fire of Prometheus back to earth: fusin energy.

Unlearned Ignorance in Today's Mathematical Models

This so-called research is totally tendentious rot. Just look at the clumsy glowing allusions to Aldous Huxley's cultish "Doors of Perception", for instance. This "mind expansion" is actually psychosis not creativity. Riemannian Surface Function as Antidote to Artificial Intelligence Hoax

Recent research on the manner in which the "early visual cortex" processing sounds operates as a sort of imaging precursor of correlated mental anticipation. In this sense, the mind induces a kind of conformal mapping of a particular sound with a correlated vision. Carl Friedrich Gauss developed a type of universal normal mapping which his student Bernhard Riemann took a step further. If we view a terrain as mapping onto a unit sphere by tangential normals we get a continuous mapping which may contain several sheets where these normals are duplicated. Riemann extended this multi-sheeted function surface by introducing more general branch points that provide a type of thoroughfare, if you will, from one sheet to another.

Now, the fact is that the brain operates precisely in this fashion in terms of mappings of sensations. And it is quite lawful that two senses of sound and vision operate like a multi-sheeted surface function. This observed phenomenon in fact is of a higher ordering that any simplistic theory of "encoding" can ever wrap its head around(!) so to speak. Any model of on/off, yes/no, base two bits of information for so-called artificial intelligence is therefore vitiated from the outset. Now those who would stubbornly refuse to accept this fact are like the forlorn detectives in Poe's Purloined Letter whose methodology of deductive reasoning is in fact a crippling worldview that prevents them from hypothesizing a higher mental power that puts the answer in plain view but is unrecognizable due to their purblind folly. Thus it is with fool's gold of artificial intelligence. No "program" will ever have the ability to create the merest irony at which the poetic consciousness excels.

A recent experiment disproved an assumption about a DNA replication mechanism. The enzyme Ligase 1 that was thought to be essential but is not, it turns out. The problem of belief in the mere logic of deduction or induction is pervasive and cripples scientific progress. Edgar Allan Poe in his forward to Eureka, Mellonta Tauta put it thus:

A future where such soulless and dead systems are abandoned is the only "cause" worth striving for. 

An Antidote to the Climate Change Scare Mongers

"Parson" Thomas Malthus in 1798 was wrong that population was limited by supposed "natural" resources when he wrote that apology for the British Empire's inhuman looting and starving of their "subject" people. (See Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal.")Today, the ubiquitous anti-scientific false religious zeal of the radical environmentalists is at root no different than that misanthropic imperial propagandist Malthus. Like Prince Phillip that ideology sees humanity as a plague on some fantastic and supposed pristine mother nature or Gaea. The right royal misbegotten so-called Prince's evil dictum that he would desire to be "reincarnated as a deadly form of virus" to wipe out humanity speaks volumes.

Even if the climate change tragic chorus were correct, the answer would not be to promulgate policies that will plunge the world's population to a reduced standard of living via austerity of enforced backwardness. The answer instead would be a crash research effort to develop fusion energy. If, for example, we spent the trillions of dollars we wasted in bailing out the "too big to jail" Wall Street criminals over the few short years, thermonuclear fusion would be a near term reality. And we would find a non carbon solution to the evil and hellish Malthusian nightmare into which the dupes of the likes of Prince Phillip are currently plunging us headlong.

This is the true source of outright evil on this planet today.

Lift Up Your Mind Heavenward

The recent media natter in regard to a pop culture hero of "scientific" nerds everywhere has me questioning why the sense of "wonder" about large "billions and billions" of whatever is so off-putting. Poe remarked on this in terms of the suffocating effect of too much symmetry in rhyme.  It is the difference between a profound fugal development in a work of Bach and the monotony of a hesychastic chant. Soul sucking lack of development. The equivalent of naval gazing.

Contrast this with a sort of world line of discovery of universal principle. Who among us first surmised that the moon was lighted by the sun?  Are we not infinitely indebted to that unnamed soul's individual spark of imaginative creativity?  And further are we not endowed a birthright of childlike curiosity with a mission to further such needful exploration. We can put ourselves as if instantaneously back to that forgotten epoch?  For we are a singularity in creation that has such potency for good. We know of none other.

Today, we as a species stand upon a crossroad. One path is toward unthinkable destruction. One path leads us to conquering the very heretofore secret power of the sun's thermonuclear fire such that no one among us need ever suffer deprivation again. Such is the quality of poetry that brings us home to our higher selves. This is what the mysterious gift of human free will is perpetually heir to -- If we but lift up our mind heavenward.

I commented lately on an article that presented the debate about how eucaryotes might have evolved only once from a merger of archaea and bacteria. Along these lines, the very principle of evolution as non random, nonlinear problem solving by biota via singularity at more efficiently capturing and utilizing available energy and elements hearkens back to Leibniz' principle of the least action pre-established harmony.

In other words, the Universe is so ordered or composed such that change or flux is invariant. However, there is a predisposition toward change that produces harmonic order. That particular quality is naturally attuned to human creative productions. For instance, the resolution of contrapuntal tension created via cross voicing in the fugues of J.S. Bach is the most unmediated emotional correlative of the higher harmony.

Why a Unified Field Theory Will Forever Fail

So long as a theory of everything is limited in scope to only address the inorganic realm it is a contradiction in terms. For what can account for the passion of humanity that is immanent to the pursuit of happiness? Indeed, we know that our sun will expire in due course in the foreseeable  future. So the pathway to achieving the solution to our specie's continued survival past that eventuality is embedded in the very essence of physical space time. To refute this truth is a fool's errand. Unfortunately there are all too many such among us of late.

Evil as these actions were, what could we expect from the man being touted as the sharp tongued "tell it like it is" purveyor of austerity, Chris Christie? The attempt to define evolution as a directed and causal series of inheritance of traits, points at a larger issue that unfortunately hampers progress in science itself. That issue is the zealous quasi-religious adherence to a doctrine of stochastic probability. This is really a question of ontology that has played out over at least several millenia. When Heraclitus ironically cited change as the only constant substance of reality, this was succinctly brought into human consciousness. Einstein's quip that God doesn't shoot pool was of a piece. Leibniz' critique of Newton's dead clock winding ontology in his debate with Clarke, likewise. A vision of a mission that directs scientific inquiry must govern how we proceed. This question for posterity (if there be any rational posterity worth speaking of): Why is it the case that the handlers of Obama desire to have a backdrop of adoring fans (which word by the way is shorthand for fanatics) vacuously smiling and nodding during his ubiquitous pep rallies? If, in your minds eye, you now place a montage of those images where Obama buoyantly bounces up the steps of the stage surrounded by these adoring made for television fans with his performance in his Waterloolike gaunt faced humiliating press conference where he intoned that "it's on me" that Obamacare is a wretched failure, what is your take away?

Isn't the answer that such handlers, leaving "The One" aside for the moment, had no idea on this good earth of how they would orchestrate a retreat for the great impostor? Which is to say that they were all drinking the same kool-aid that blinded them to realize what a self centered egomaniac said pretender truly is. What sort of euphoric state of mind, whether it literally be drug induced or not, could possibly be so arrogantly impervious to the reality that they were fronting for an odious and execrable piece of legislation?

All of which is a roundabout way of saying that when you sell your soul to Wall Street and pretend the opposite there just might be consequences. If we as a nation wish to regain any collective sanity we will forthwith "throw the bum out." The 25th Amendment regarding the medical incompetency of a President would amply suit the purpose.

Though I heartily applaud the efforts of Snowden & Greenwald in kicking against the proverbial pricks, it must be admitted that theirs is a rear guard action. For, the need for unobservable communications exists for only so long as humankind finds itself combating the death grip of an evil oligarchical ideology. Benjamin Franklin's principle of creating a society to do the good resulted in his gift of the lighting rod to humanity. If we are yet able to throw off the yoke of mutually assured destruction and enter into an era of our true mission and purpose, the need for secrecy will fade into a dim history of brutish and wholly unnecessary and destructive infancy of our species. We were indeed made for something better.

Shockwaves and Singularities: the Moral

The recent wonderfully designed experiment that showed how amino acids are produced from the shockwave impact of meteor collisions is in keeping with what I have posed within these pages many times over. To wit: starting from Bernhard Riemann's elegant and seminal description of  propagation of pressure or sonic shockwaves over a century and a half ago, the principle of a non linear phase change singularity that operates upon a medium of transmission was hypothesized. That very principle precisely applies in this case. The fact that the potential transition from the inorganic should take this form is quite lawful.

The analogous singularity for humanity is not the ridiculous adolescent science fiction touted as the melding of mechanical devices and humans. The recent explosive revelations that the US National Security Agency has been committing treason against our constitution by the wholesale turnover of raw intelligence of American citizens' private communications to the state of Israel should provoke the thinking portion of that same citizenry to take this rogue putative security apparatus down. To understand the full significance of this situation, we need to revisit the threats to our fledgling republic at the time of its very founding.

The principles of the victorious American revolution had naturally inspired a universal admiration among nations. The intelligence services of Great Britain recognized that this was a mortal threat to their far flung empire. The tack that the nascent East Indies Company which constituted the financial center of that empire decided upon to combat this existential threat was to nurture false irrational radical uprisings in order to quash the truly republican spirit. Thus the French revolution aimed at chaos to prevent an orderly transition to a constitutional republic fostered by the supporters of Marquis de LaFayette.

The full story of the struggle of Alexander Hamilton against Thomas Jefferson and Jefferson's Vice President Aaron Burr is part and parcel of this British strategy. (The same Burr that Jefferson sumptuously feted in Washington after he had assassinated Hamilton.) Hamilton founded a manumission society to free the slaves. Jefferson on the other hand actively promoted expanding slave labor when he set up a very evil system of manufacturing nails by working and breaking extremely young slave boys on his Monticello property. At the same time Jefferson propagandized for the so called freedom of the Jacobin lunatics that fomented the French revolution against LaFayette's forces. This bloody form of "democracy" was used to take down Hamilton's economic reforms that were aimed at breaking the monopoly of trade and promoting Franklin's vision of useful scientific progress to increase the standard of living here.

This is the reason that George Washington's farewell address, largely drafted by Hamilton, warned against foreign entanglements. The United States must not be drawn into a trap that would ensnare us into backing up an irrational uprising of anarchist puppets in France. The financial interests of the British/Dutch empire was to use the tactic of divide and conquer by setting off agent provocateurs in targeted nations time and again to this very day. Their current game in the Middle East is to embroil the region in unending proxy Sunni/Shia warfare, switching sides as they see fit. To them, Israel is merely an instrument of this useful turmoil that allows their assets like the medieval Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to subsist.

It is in this geopolitical cauldron that contrary to Washington's warning we have entangled ourselves, acting the part of the "dumb American giant." It is high time that we stop being gullible patsies. I think the vast majority of our population would agree, especially if they know then full extent of how we are being played.

So, once again, it is in this larger context that I must commend the patriotic impulses of those like Snowden and Greenwald who would expose the treason of the NSA at the expense of their own personal well being.

As If Seeing Out of the Corner of One's Eye

You can learn quite a lot from not being a mere hapless subject (in the imperial "we" sense of the word subject, you understand) of such blatant behavioral manipulation. Why would it be that among the subjects that grip ones psyche with a bestial ferocity at the moment we have stories of zombies and vampires?

Could the fact that our lunatic financial obsession with gambling as a popular sign of prosperity has molded our labile consciousness (or rather lack thereof) thusly? Our recycled workforce being driven zombielike into dead end mind numbing menial service work. (See the popular literary fascination with Victorian schema of knowing ones place, e.g. Downton Abby, etc.) What has become of the once proud productive ensemble of skilled machinists able to put food on the table? Oh. See the ugly squalor known as Detroit. These lusty fellows have been somehow soothed into infantile submission to their own demise like the fabled frog simmering in the slowly rising heat of the frying pan 'til too late. Ah yes, then there are the teenage fascination with vampires. I wonder why? Wall Street fantasia anyone?

Now we have a much more powerful Panopticon apparatus in the outed NSA than the SS, Stasi (or Jeremy Bentham) could ever have imagined. The latest bombshell outrage is their newly exposed methods for skirting that old fashioned outdated document, the Constitution (still in the customary capitals you will notice.)  So they go about hiring the best and brightest hackers and swear them to a sort of modern Masonic blood oath of secrecy (curses on that traitor Snowden!) in order to use their "expertise" in evading what is amusingly called by the computer geeks (or perhaps I should have said zombies) the "secure" sockets layer. Now in the end just why must the NSA in order to protect us act in a fashion worse than the so called "bad guys" that our Ivy league commentators like to explain in pabulum-speak to the deluded sodden crowd. Who exactly are the  criminals these days? One needs a program it would seem.

Why the Unspoken Fear Makes Us Cowardly Turn from Truth

The unspoken consent in the cover-up of the assassination of John F. Kennedy was a sort of a test of whether America would carry through what Roosevelt promised Churchill at the dawn of the end of imperial empires. In the words of his son Elliott, FDR made it clear that the US would no longer tolerate colonial methods governing the globe. And yet, exactly what Churchill represented was drop by drop imposed upon the complicit psyche of our citizenry as they attempted to flee from taking up the mantle of that very mission FDR represented.

It was a sort of promissory note to end the rule of the principle of a wanton subjugation of humanity that is forever present in gestation all throughout history. The title of this post should induce a train of thought that cuts through the current soap opera circus exhibited by our press. If you consider that it was none other than Benjamin Franklin who stated that "No tyrannical society can long exist when it cannot control the flow of information," then the point of the comparison becomes more clear.

For we certainly are living in a controlled environment of "infotainment" as nightmarishly noxious in essence as any dystopia cooked up by the adherents of the Anglo Dutch East Indies conglomerate such as Jeremy Bentham, H.G. Wells, Bertrand Russell, or George Orwell.

But the most dangerous enemy of the great mission which established our liberty is shining a light upon the treachery which has nearly now extinguished that selected role of Franklin, Lincoln, and FDR.
