A Good "Black Hole" Hypothesis

 I came across this very interesting hypothesis on the nature of "black holes" today from a theoretical physicist by the name of Igor Nikitin. The one attribute that is very important here is that this hypothesis is purely physical in that it does not embrace the absurdity of a zero dimensional point of infinite gravity as a black hole, but replaces this impossibility with an infinitesimal reality: a plank scale collapsed star. 

The problem that starting from so called first principles of deductive mathematical logic is simply that we are dealing with things that cannot exist. Points are not physical realities. So the pretension that they are is incompatible with reality. This also applies to the idea of the nothingness of the purported beginning of physical reality: the "Big Bang."

Kepler, who revolutionized astronomy, himself made this charge against the non-physical algebraicists of his day. Riemann, whose contributions to geometry made Einstein's breakthroughs possible, made very much the same point at the close of his doctoral thesis that we cannot confuse mathematical theorems for physical reality. 

But this is precisely what the glorified icons of academia have done and are continuing to do today. Nikitin may be right or not. And of course, we need to test his hypothesis rigorously. But, at the very least his hypothesis does not suffer from the outset in the same way as do so many others that accept without question the irrational premises of mathematical fictions as reality.

 I have removed all my links on this site as you may or may not have noticed. Sometimes the simulacrum of truth is nothing but an illusion. Truth at this point of time in this political landscape is almost non existent, unfortunately. 

I can say this that the world is careening either toward a cataclysmic series of financial collapses and war (perhaps of annihilation) or a new practically unfathomable Renaissance of space colonization and all that entails. 

As for joining a movement or trying to initiate one, at this point all I can do is put my voice out there and continue to promote the spirit of doing and bringing forth the good. 

Incomprehensible Chaos?

Leibniz declared in his Monadology proposition number 68: "Thus there is nothing fallow, nothing sterile, nothing dead in the universe, no chaos, no confusion save in appearance, somewhat as it might appear to be in a pond at a distance, in which one would see a confused movement and, as it were, a swarming of fish in the pond, without separately distinguishing the fish themselves."

So what do we "see" in this image? Is it merely random diffusion of gaseous or plasma elements? We are given a narrative that the future effects of a butterfly's flight might determine a chaotic change in the concatenation of mechanistic chains of dependent kinetics. Yet it seems to be the case that humanity is not merely subject to such arbitrary forces. 

Such that beauty is an ongoing composition of Creation that we willfully operate on to bring about ever more order in consonance with our need to embody that ultimate higher creative power that only we may conceive being the self-aware potentially creative Monads all dwelling in the "simultaneity of eternity."

Which Poets are the True Legislators of the World?

 Shelley said that Plato was a poet in the broad sense of the word. So the ironic banning of poets from the vision of the Republic is more than interesting, is it not? Socrates was put to death by democratic means. His crime? Making the polity lose faith in the gods by the public questioning of what constituted their godliness. For if the gods were merely irrationally lustful and vindictive tyrants that would punish humanity for the Promethean hubris of creativity, how could such rule over humanity? Except, perhaps, as a rotten and misbegotten oligarchy. 

So Aristophanes, the poet, in the broader sense of that term, composed a play called The Clouds ridiculing Socrates. 

Now the issue of what true poetry is, perhaps, needs to be somewhat elucidated. Many times we are told that the ironical juxtaposition of ambiguity in a strictly metered form is poetry's sine qua non. It is overwhelmingly the case that the most highly developed music imparts in the medium of sound the substance of creative problem solving as great fugal dialogue. Now much babble has been written over the centuries about "dialectics." There are "dialogues" that cannot properly be called profound ideas regarding humanity, even though they may be quite impassioned. 

A very ironic instance of this is the French decadent school of Charles Baudelaire that praised Poe as a revolutionary purveyor of the "flowers of evil." And yet, it was just the opposite. For instance Poe roundly attacked the downright criminal protégé of the romantic poet Sir Walter Scott, the so called Ettrick Shepherd, James Hogg. However, you have to decode Poe to realize this, like so many of his other attacks on Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren, they were not outright. This is also the case in Poe's series of satires on the subversive literary circles of his day. Such as his ripostes anent the wife of Guiseppe Mazzini, Margaret Fuller and of course his many swipes at the transcendentalist followers, (Emerson Thoreau, Longfellow, et al.) of that rather vile and disgusting literati named Thomas Carlyle who penned the evil The Occasional Discourse on the Negro Question. 

The idea of celebrating evil is nothing new to the generations of drugged up Thelemic rock groupies of drug fiend and Satanist  Aleister Crowley, of course. Mark Twain wrote a much overlooked such literary dialogue called The Mysterious Stranger. Now, it might be argued that Clemmons was merely referring to the Babylonian model of god as a ruthlessly punishing and irrational destroyer of his creatures. But that would be some very big stretching.

Perhaps the old saw that beauty is in the eye of the beholder should be applied just a bit more rigorously. For the luridly dramatic paintings of the murderer Caravaggio might be supposed to be beautiful given their meticulous execution, but are they really beautiful? Perhaps it is not so simple as a' that....

The Vision of the Creative Purpose of Humanity

The nominalist wants to define each and every term of his or her existence as though it is a logical proposition of a social contract. I never had a card that I carried declaring my membership in the political movement associated with Lyndon Hermyle LaRouche Jr. My time of some twenty years of that active  association was brought to a close some twenty plus years hence. 

In the time that I spent drumming up support for various planks of the campaigns of the International Caucus of Labor Committees, it more often than not was a hindrance to fundraising to bring up the much reviled name of the "political extremist and convicted felon" Lyndon LaRouche. So, today for myself it is rather ironic that there is a public skirmish over who is to be blessed, so to speak, with the mantle of carrying on a political organization in his name.

Today, having retired from my workaday job, I find myself at a sort of crossroad in my ripe old age. Political movements desire visibility. Therefore, even if we might sometimes disagree with some or perhaps many of the tenets of one another's professed philosophies, if we can show that society must pay respect to a person's "qualifications" that will serve us in building the "movement." Or so goes the mostly unspoken assumptions about appeals to that which society respects, willy nilly.

And yet, I distinctly recall the a document written by LaRouche on the strategy of recruitment to his movement that was polemically critical of the tactic of foregoing one's principles for the purpose of collecting "gate receipts." In fact, rereading just now his autobiography, The Power of Reason, he always considered the issue of collecting gate receipts as a tendency toward conciliation of backwardness to be just the opposite of that course he established in forming and steering his political movement. A movement he avowed he would abandon forthwith if it stopped serving that purpose. 

What is it that is desired to effect change in the required revolutionary direction in order to uplift humanity to finally defeat its age old enemy in its many guises? How to overcome the inherent weakness of past concessions to pragmatic deals of current political realities? 

What is it that is of enduring substance in this ever changing current of history? As I spoke to in the previous post, the demonstration that reason is the characteristic of all humans by Socrates was revolutionary. The Renaissance Erasmian Imitation of Christ is in this mold. Just as we must elevate our reason above the constraints of the axioms of the simple counting numbers as the basis for producing a square in order to double it (and yet a degree more for the doubling of the cube,) so must we resolve the paradox of Christ as the Prince of Peace and yet the bringer of "not peace but a sword." 

For if we would have not the peace of the grave but instead a grand design for a concert of nations to propel humanity forward into the peaceful era of space colonization, what must be routed and overcome by the metaphorical sword for that to happen? Is it not the age old shackles that imprisons those universal creative powers that give meaning to the premise that each not in a war against all, but rather each created in the image of the ever developing and living, universal Creator? 

Today in America there is a rising incidence of suicide that is lowering the life expectancy. Why? The hopelessness of the drug/radical environmentalist counterculture. It appears that getting high to escape the high tech imitation of the Roman Circus we have become eventually leads to a despairing and futile dead end. 

On the other hand, with a mission orientation for space colonization, we can expect the average human "healthspan" to significantly increase secularly with very little end in sight. We will accomplish what would seem rather miraculous today in the same way that building cities on the moon and Mars would have seemed to mortals just a few hundred years ago. 

For instance, the program of space colonization entails a scientific mission of overcoming the deleterious effects on human health of weightlessness or reduced gravity and mutagenesis from cosmic rays. Therefore, we can expect the secrets of cellular defense of microbes against radiation such as Deinococcus radiodurans to be put to use to provide our own species protection. Likewise, we will unlock the means to regeneration of tissue that we are currently homing in on in modern biophysics. 

As to the predicted baleful prognostications of diminishing natural resources, that really has cast a pessimistic pall over the outlook of our youth, the future of technological progress holds just the opposite prospect. With nuclear fusion, the concept of a plasma torch will become a reality. This means that the age old dream of transmutation of elements will no longer be the domain of crazy Hermeneutical cranks like Isaac Newton. We will unleash the never ending abundance of resources with the amount of energy dense throughput or intensity at our disposal. The increased lifespan, biophysical breakthroughs and availability of resources will make Kraft Ehricke's vision of the creation of artificial planetoids for long term human space exploration a reality. 

And what will fuel these planetoids' propulsion to the vast stretches of space that we invariably seek to explore? Fusion probably won't do the trick. Up until now we can only produce puny amounts of anti-matter in particle accelerators for the prospective matter anti matter reactions that could propel such colonizers. Ah but, it turns out that anti-matter will be available in relative abundance in many orbits of our own solar system, let alone many, many others in yet to be identified.

This then is the vision of the eternal optimism of the creative purpose of humanity.

All That Glitters is Not Gold, But Some Few Truths Are Necessarily Enduring

I have been justly criticized of late for not expressly "unpacking" (as the current argot goes) my thoughts so as to make them comprehensible for the uninitiated. So I have decided to explicate the revolutionary dialogue of Plato, the Meno, that stands out in human history as embodying precisely the principle of imparting profound truths to the "everyman," so to speak. Please bear with me I will enlarge upon why this theme is of fundamental importance shortly. I am hopeful you, dear reader, will take away something of lasting value from this discussion. 

The profound leap in human history that this dialogue represents cannot be underestimated. For it challenges the very underpinnings of the arbitrary and destructive rule by a monied oligarchy. This is not to say that I am merely alluding to conditions prevailing at the epoch of Plato and Socrates. To wit: if it is the case that any human can be proven to naturally possess the power to mentally reconstruct the most advanced concepts of civilization, then indeed all men are created equal. I will come back to that last statement as it seemingly contradicts the well known words of America's Declaration of Independence.

Socrates engages in a dialogue with Meno and his uneducated slave boy. The proof that the slave reconstructs comes from a breakthrough in geometrical knowledge of the Egyptians. The question is by what method can the area of a square be doubled? By nature, no one of a certain age is at a loss to comprehend the universal geometric idea of what a square is.  A corollary would stand to reason that the same would apply to a circle and so on. So Socrates proceeds to guide the slave to find the answer through drawing out the proof in the sand that the only answer that may be constructed so that there is no doubt comes from the use of the diagonal as the new side of square with the doubled area. 

Now, in doing so the slave has proved the Pythagorean theorem that nowadays every school child learns to repeat. "A squared plus B squared equals C squared." However, almost no children are walked through this Socratic proof, but instead are expected to produce the algebraic formula upon demand. I, for instance, got a scholarship to major in mathematics at the University at Buffalo without ever having been initiated into the non algebraic or synthetic geometric proof . Yet the proof is egregiously simple once it is grasped by the mind (or soul, if you will.)

This brings me back to issue of self evident proofs. Leibniz speaks about irreducible ideas that are incapable of being simplified into component parts and therefore are indeed self evident. The foremost among these are that the human soul, i.e. that our shared mental, conscious creative reason, is by its very nature indivisible. It has no parts. Can this be somehow be proven otherwise? Well, many pedantic academics, like the asses in Goya's cartoons, have tried and will continue to do so as long as they are paid for it. They have hard to comprehend theories about how intelligence is an "emergent" property of the complexity of systems of neurons in the brain, for example. For many, the ability to cleverly and convincingly retell such far fetched theories upon demand will obtain the parroting student a degree and perhaps tenure as a doctor of complexity theory at the most prestigious universities in the land. But in essence this is all so much worthless drivel based upon the logic of provably false premises, if you would but honestly look within. 

The truth is that there is a universal efficient power above the arbitrary rule of any would be oligarchy. That truth is wonderfully and beautifully intelligible. It is profoundly and ironically simple such that any human mind might partake of it. And it is embodied in the principle of the Republic. The creation of a self governing society to do the good so that humanity and its posterity will increasingly come into conformity in an ever more perfect union that is indeed inscribed in the principle that all men are created equal. 

I hope I may have somewhat clarified to some degree whatever has been heretofore cloudy, misty or murky in my many posts here in this blog, ironically named in honor of the genius of Edgar Poe's Thingumbobesquire.

The Threat of the Corona Virus Versus IMF/Free Trade Economics

I am an iconoclast, not an "expert." However, I do have the power of reasoned dialogue, as should all thinking citizens of this planet. So, what I want to accomplish here in this post is to bring up some pertinent questions about the topic in its title.

What I am referring to is the discrepancy and inconsistency in the attitude of the public toward the dual issues of self preservation of society and economics. Now, many so called conservatives will pooh pooh the idea that the current pandemic is all that dangerous to necessitate extreme public health measures like quarantine and vaccination. On the other hand, the liberals will denigrate the claims (or simply ignore them altogether) that the so called Green New Deal policies will lead to the inability of society to maintain the current world population of some nearly eight billion souls on this planet, let alone increase that number considerably. 

I think that kowtowing to either false set of beliefs is frankly immoral. The problem is that the population suffers from the illusions that are imposed upon their thinking. This is nothing marvelously new. In fact, it is old as proverbial mud. The problem is that the lessons from allegories can be pretty much interpreted as it suits to reinforce the false axioms of these aforementioned belief structures. Plato's Republic features a very challenging such allegory, the "myth" of the cave. 

The question is are we being shown mere shadows projected by "puppet masters" on our current equivalent of walls of the cave in order to chain us or better immobilize us to the passivity of "chains of illusion?" 

The level of poverty in most of this planet, including pockets in the USA, if not remediated will inevitably lead to the outbreak of old and new epidemics via the vectors of lack of sanitation, including fresh water and lack of adequate nutrition. So, shutting down the borders and fiddling while the planet starves will come back to haunt the isolationists. Likewise, shutting down the use of hydrocarbons (the term "fossil fuels" has been proven incorrect and should be abandoned) means that we consign the world to increased poverty leading to the very same outcome of poverty and mass epidemics. 

I believe these outcomes based upon the deliberative dialogue of reason are unassailable. Now, I have spent some forty years or so of my adult life promoting solutions to the economics of the power of an age old establishment that controls the power of money and military  as a means to enforce the disastrous results that society currently confronts. The truth is indeed out there. However, unless you, dear reader, squarely face that you are being manipulated into an ideological straightjacket of immobility, then humanity will continue to needlessly suffer ever greater catastrophes.

Higher Principle of Harmonic Biophysical Functions

I have reported on the issue of Helmholtz model of hearing versus Riemann previously. Can anyone viewing the indescribable beauty of this spiral octave photo of the inner ear still argue that somehow biophysics is organized according to random genetic mutations that parallel random acausality of entropic physics assumptions? Art, Religion, Science and Politics

Reading Plato's Republic, it is indeed an unanswered paradox that it is proposed that poets be excluded. What of the Republic of Letters? It certainly is the case that the Aristophanes play The Clouds did a "number" on Socrates. Likewise, Voltaire's' Candide pilloried Leibniz. The forms of art, poetry, drama, sculpture, architecture and music purport to have a sort of solid inviolability supported by reason. Or at least that was the case until those very forms became a source for irrational arbitrary "invention." Indeed, there is a sort of self consistency with those very forms as a "language" that provide the opportunity for the development of the truthful irony of the finite work of art versus the non finite possibility of development. Therein, perhaps, lies supernal beauty. 

Upon what ground exactly is the rationale of the critic's work founded? I have recently written for example that there is a "test" for religion. If it is unfettered and unchecked does what passes for religion devolve into a mere tool to stir the passions in obeisance to the whims of a ruling oligarchy? In America, Edgar Poe apparently gained undying enmity beyond the grave for his trenchant criticism of the ills of poetic meter. However, there is perhaps much more to that sort of criticism than meets the eye, since it is the case that his satires were always political. Even Poe's comment that the extremely popular tales of his contemporary James Cooper were in truth rather pedestrian and that Cooper was a "quietist."  This, even though Cooper was quite comfortable in exposing and justifiably denouncing the oligarchy of Venice and the contemporaneous press of his day as being a tool of would be American oligarchs. 

Today, this charge of quietism has almost no touchstone for modern audiences. However, that was far from the case at the time. For instance, take the poem of Henry Longfellow, The Three Silences of Molinos. This is a kind of paean to another New England radical, abolitionist "mystic," John Whittier. Now this Molinos was indeed, a quietest. In order to trace out all of the seemingly chaotic connections that were quite well known at that time and bring them to "light" in terms of today's touchstones for my readers it is necessary to take a detour down a somewhat arcane sort of rabbit hole. But I promise it is quite relevant to the current political and social circumstances in which we find ourselves embroiled.

Whittier wrote a sort of a paean to Master Eckhart, wherein much is made of rather mystically magical practices like the lots of Urim and Thummin that resolve into this mystical quietism:

The heaven ye seek, the hell ye fear,

Are with yourselves alone.

Now, it does appear that Nicolas of Cusa did indeed perform a study of Eckhart and by some modern critics is lumped into the category of "brethren of free spirits" such as those movements stemming from the mysticism of the Beguins, Beghards and Marguerite Porete's "Mirror of Divine Love." However, as I will show nothing could be further from the truth, as Cusa was quite the opposite of the Cathars, Bogomils, and a vast plethora of other Gnostics. If the term "free spirit" reminds the baby boomer reader of the epoch of Haight Ashbury and the "summer of love," it is no accident.

The diggers (and their devilish offspring, the ranters) were a back to the land anarchist movement at the time of the various dissenters of the English civil wars. Free love, hippie communes were explicitly modelled upon these diggers. (Can you dig it?) Indeed, William James' Varieties of Religious Experience is a sort of key for the British oligarchy to utilize to create syncretic movements as part and parcel of divide and conquer, popular people's movements. In fact, the back to the land self reliance movement of the dead poets society (perhaps as in the "Book of the Dead" or Gogol's "Dead Souls") of the New England transcendentalists was inspired by the bizarre quietus novel, Sartor Resartus of Thomas Carlyle. Carlyle was the writer that Poe referred to as a bedlamist, who attempted to pervert Schiller's conception of uplifting aesthetics of the reliving of the dramatic historical crises, much as Shakespeare did likewise. And the same Carlyle who later wrote a vile tract justifying plantation slavery called "On the Negro Question."

It is sometimes claimed by the mystical cult of the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood and T.S. Eliot, that Dante Alighieri and Marguerite Porete were in some ways birds of a feather. And as such are representatives of an earlier pre Renaissance era of simplicity and courtly Romanticism. This parallels the slander against Cusa's mysticism.. For it could be said that Marguerite wrote in the vernacular old French in order to uplift the common people with a national language, etc. However, nothing could be further from the truth and in no way compares to Dante's grand political design in his De Monarchia and Divine Commedia. Likewise Cusa's convening of a great council for reconciliation of faiths to bring about an end to barbaric geopolitical wars of his day. These were both real world challenges that laid the groundwork for the yet to be developed scientific statesmanship of the American System. 

I turn now to the theme I briefly brought up in my last posting on Cusa: concrete universals. In his Vision of God, Cusa furthers his claim to a scientific method that is wholly consonant with the idea of the principle of the ongoing process of perfecting human practice. Sometimes referred to as the Imago Viva Dei. I have brought up elsewhere that the Meno dialogue of Plato is analogous to an untutored child grasping profound principles of science that represent clear revolutionary historical advances. For example, the practice of the infinite "vanishing point" in drawing is elementary and easily reproduced by any grade school student. However, look at this in light of Cusa's Concrete Universal. Really the principle that no matter where you look, that infinite projective space, a concrete universal, is ever present would seem miraculous to previous untutored societies. This is the non mystical meaning of the connection of the universal mind, the maximum, non other with the sovereign and inviolable non divisible mind (or soul if you will) of the individual. 

And so, here, I need to make another downward journey into the bestiality of what motivates the control of the oligarchy and its hatred of the principle of Prometheus, the bringer of the technology of fire. Various mystery cults that promote the control of priesthoods owned by oligarchies have been with us since time immemorial before it were even possible for epic poems to be written down. The most perverted and egregious of these would have to reside here in the Americas with the death cult rituals of the Aztecs. However, it must be kept in mind that the heinous and superstitious magic of child sacrifice serves as the basis of most of these oligarchical epics including the Greek cycle of tragedies of the House of Atreus. 

So the question  is how does it make any sense that these same monstrous Aztecs who carried out such thoroughly evil rituals also had intricate knowledge of astronomical cyclic calendars? Well, the answer is it was that very actual power that necessitated esotericism. I leave this for you dear reader to follow up on, for it is my hope that that this might engender a thirst to resolve the many paradoxes that the forgoing brings to mind.

Nicholas of Cusa and the Idea of True Infinity

I recently attended a presentation on Nicolas of Cusa that addressed some of the examples he used to illustrate his  groundbreaking conception of true or absolute infinity. Upon reflection, I had a few thoughts that connect these examples with major strides forward in science and art. I think it is especially important to show that Cusa is the source of the birth of the scientific method in the Florentine Renaissance. 

The practice of generating "thought experiments" was adopted by Cusa in his Platonic dialogues. It is not arbitrary and no small moment that Einstein's seminal gedankenexperiment that developed the equally groundbreaking conception of relativity partakes of this same essential practice. 

In one example, he shows that a straight line and a circle that expands progressively to infinity are in fact indistinguishable. This great invention of Nicolas is the basis for projective geometry that was adopted and pioneered by the great artists of the Renaissance as the perspective and camera oscura with parallel lines meeting at the infinite "point."

The question of whether there was a substantial difference between a mere mathematical infinity and a true infinity had been the subject of treatises on philosophy especially spurred on since the time that the Islamic Renaissance of the Abbasid Caliphate reached the European Christians. Ibn Sina or Avicenna in the Eleventh Century developed a Socratic proof of God that he called the Necessary Existent. This was the existence of a true infinity.

The development that made possible modern constructive Non-Euclidean geometry likewise arises from Nicolas. Leibniz, who time and again used that principle in his writings and letters, once remarked that the Newtonian notion that an object set into motion without any further forces acting upon it would continue in a straight line was completely an arbitrary assumption. Instead it could be as easily argued that in such an imaginary case the object could continue on a curved trajectory. This is precisely the poetic truthful imagination or thought experiment of a true infinite. 

Likewise, the great work of Georg Cantor on the principle of the Transfinite is admittedly indebted to Cusa. Indeed the different gauges of mathematical transfinite numbers, for example the rational versus the transcendentals, as opposed to Absolute Infinity are acknowledged by Cantor.

Finally, consider that Riemann's universal treatment of the foundations of geometry in his habilitation thesis makes no assumptions of distinguishing the curvature of surfaces that may be of positive, negative or in the Euclidean case zero curvature. Riemann warned in that presentation that the actual measurement of this curvature in the physical sciences must be left to experimentation.  It is this germ of Nicolas of Cusa that allowed for Einstein's theory of general relativity of the curvature spacetime upon which are founded so many of the marvels of 20th century scientific progress.

Currently, humanity face a manifold of grave threats to it's very future. One might in fact quite rightly say that our combined responses to these threats will determine whether or not we have the intellectual and moral fitness to survive.

These threats are intermeshed and need to be treated as part and parcel of an integral solution. If I were writing of warfare, of the justified kind that Augustine so eloquently developed, I would make an analogy to a strategic flank. What is now the biggest enemy to mankind? Certainly, none among the more clear minded can fail to see that the potential of the current pandemic of COVID-19 to threaten through mutation of the SARS-Cov-2 family of viruses and other potential new pandemics arising from known or unknown sources. 

The current state of biophysical research is that we are on the cusp of being able to provide a possible defense of our species from not merely this particular pandemic but an entire series of viral threats facing our collective and shared biome. Anyone surveying the state of basic biophysical science will realize that there have been remarkable advances in the frontiers of technological breakthroughs in our ability to comprehend the processes of cellular signaling, the protein interactome, and other interrelated RNA/DNA interfaces. 

This problem in overcoming our disparate research efforts must be addressed such that we respect the sovereign rights of national self determination and yet at the same time act united as a concerted group. For instance, if it were the case that our scientists monitoring threats from space were to announce that a comet or asteroid were on course to impact the Earth in the near term, would we not almost automatically combine our current technological capabilities to prevent it from wiping out our species existence? 

And yet, we have the winds of an unthinkable nuclear war being seriously promoted even at this late date by geopolitical technocrats. We hear that a limited first strike nuclear war should be put on the agenda of the NATO pact. Of course can anyone in their right mind (excluding of course those Utopian cum Strangelovean whackos,) not foresee that this would inevitably lead to the wholesale extinction of civilization?  

What stands in the way of the adoption of such a policy of mutually assured survival? There are two main obstacles. One is the potential for the collapse of the speculative debt bubble in the near term. The second is a flare up of regional geopolitical wars mounting to a new global war in much the same way that WWI arose. 

So, it were necessary that any agreements for a sort of alliance to combat a looming and very real potential biological holocaust be integrated in a fully cognizant way with cooperation to end these two interrelated threats. We must take as the model the current cooperation in space science and nuclear fusion research. Further we must revive the spirit of the Bretton Woods in disposing of the monstrous uncollectable speculative debt burden. It is an absolute imperative that this be put on the agenda now with no time to waste. To do otherwise is to be abandoned to a perilous and preventable predetermined fate.

Proteins and Biophysical Manifolds

Today we are witnessing a welter of recently designated functional biophysical domains as "omes," mostly conventionally named after the genome. My question is whether there is a unifying principle that can help to bring these rigorously and coherently together.

We are now very much in the infancy of beginning to apprehend how the so called junk DNA transposons may operate in a regulatory manner, for instance, over the protein "interactome." I have been fascinated as a layman who has studied physical economics (as opposed to monetarism) and epistemology for many years with connection of energy dynamics in evolutionary biophysics. 

So I began to look at the powerhouse of the enzyme ATPase as the engine of cellular energy production and throughput. It struck me as remarkable that there was a rotational vector for this that changed chiral handedness depending on whether the cell's respiration was aerobic or non aerobic. So that this was an instance of the Pasteur principal that characterized life at this level.

This led me to view the rationale of Vernadsky's division of the three interacting spheres of physical, biological and human creative powers as being potentially unified around unique forms of functional organization. The transmission of particularly long lived metastable solitonic wave organizations in the inorganic domain seemed to parallel life in a sense. Further the directed quality of many anomalies in astrophysical organization as opposed to the assumptions of chaotic, stochastic entropy. In other words, is there an immanent tendency in this realm for the evolutionary development of life. Why should we suppose anything else? 

Of late, the ideas of Bernhard Riemann with respect to Non-Euclidean constructive geometry coupled with his work on shockwaves have led me to propose a pathway toward a possible unifying geometry of biophysics. Firstly, the protein acts as a singularity through which one or more biological functions operate. This to me was very strikingly similar to the Riemannian arrangement of functional space into connected surfaces of branchpoints that go through singular poles to sheets of a potential variety of functions. Thus the various "omes" mentioned above may be viewed as connected in this way. 

Secondly, I have proposed that the principle of transmission of energy in the biosphere leads under certain circumstances to evolutionary change. The revolutionary seminal work that Riemann did on pressure waves as they surpass the boundary of transmissibility leading to the well known sonic boom and Mach cone guided my thoughts here. 

A Premonition of Creative Nonlinearity

 In the midst of my post World War II era childhood, there were stark polarities. We were being molded in our schooling and through popular entertainment to act and think in certain ways. 

In the public school system during the 1950's for several decades we were subjected to batteries of multiple choice IQ type tests. Use only number two pencils was the rule (just like on voting forms) so these could be fed and read into the latest marvel of cybernetics which would sort out the brainy haves from the have nots. 

Can you cleverly group things (ah, those categories of arrangements of like or dislike) so that your placement in this brave new world can be completed? All the other lessons were perhaps really supplements to this diabolical logical analysis. Propositional set theory that could make nice percentile in batches to be printed out the worth of your supposed reasoning skill.

But where is the actual human emotional or intellectual creative value in all this? This vacuous wasteland. You are put on a Cartesian two dimensional array, a point on a line... Or if for some reason this maddening method were a little bit too much you could escape to engage in extra curricular "popularity."  

And that too was pretty much all pre arranged by Madison Avenue profiles of what sells. Psychological profiling that created a labile and controlled irrationality of feeling good. Popular entertainment's categories... 

And if somehow, after being put through the wringer you still, dear reader, might have a glimmer of a spark of real creativity, then you will welcome the search for something else. A nonlinear potential to change the falsehood of this whole forced narrative. Because it is there awaiting discovery. If you kick against the pricks. The hidden hands that control all this programmed empty and infinite void are the oligarchy. The real enemies whose power we have yet to finally extirpate from this experiment in self government we call the United States. Yet a house divided cannot stand.

"We're Not Doing Anything Evil"

Once upon a time in the murky counter intelligence past of the LaRouche organization, I distinctly recall a rather blood curdling remonstrance from a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood, in regard to a protest by myself and others of their October 1981 meeting entitled Spiritual Message and Quest for Justice in Houston at the Rothko Chapel sponsored be the Schlumberger heiress Dominique de Menil. The Muslim Brother spokesman snarled to the local TV reporter in a highly overwrought tone reminiscent of one of son of Dracula Lon Chaney, Jr., "We're not doing anything evil."

If you review the vast academic writings and career of one of the participants Hamid Algar, you will see the pedigree and methods of British intelligence. The hermeneutical element of Naqshbandi Sufism that the British born and Cambridge educated Algar professes, along with his promotion of the rise of Khomeini, tell the tale. 

This is in essence part and parcel of the British Intelligence apparatus use of Occult Magick stemming from the time of John Dee. Using cut outs like the Warburg Institute, to "study" Christian Cabbalism that I wrote about recently as defaming Poe, the hatching of religious warfare has always been a specialty. Just glance at William James' Varieties of Religious Experience. 

Should it be a surprise then to recall that the Schlumberger fortune was also part of the Permindex apparatus involved in the assassination of JFK?

Popular Entertainment is a Bummer

John Kennedy once spoke profoundly of America's mission to explore and ultimately colonize space should inspire and ennoble us. The lofty poetic sense should forever find and celebrate an ever deepening and evolving field of aspirations consonant with our unique human creative consciousness.

Instead we have become in our popular entertainment, a high tech version of the worst bestiality of the Roman Empire. Bread and circuses on steroids...

One extremely important aspect of this degradation is the way in which pop music surreptitiously captured the minds of the baby boomer generation. Now, many will scoff that this is just another loony conspiracy theory a la the debunked liberal straw man QAnon. The problem in understanding political conspiracies is that the cloak and dagger sort of criminal conspiracy is a total misdirection in understanding the "secrets known only to the inner elites." For instance what you have that makes actors act they way they sometimes do are usually popular movements that overtake their very psyches. Take the Eugenics craze. Yes, the Skull and Bones Society at Yale University included the same Bush family that promoted the rise of Adolf Hitler via funds from Harriman Brown Brothers up-and-comer Prescott Bush. And we should hold them responsible and some even attempted to do so with the "trading with the enemy" investigations.

So, when I began recently to unpack (as the current idiom would have it) my own unfortunate youthful entanglement with rock music, I realized that one of its consistent targets was mocking and belittling the space program. Now many who are of my age will rather hysterically deny this to be the case because it does cause a painful "cognitive dissonance" for them similar to the way in which Plato describes how those poor deluded souls in the cave would have to be brought kicking and screaming against their will out in to the light of day. One common refrain might be "I've never really listened to the lyrics." Yes, but you are being mesmerized with them over and over on the radio or now Internet over and over. 

But let us examine just a few of the popular rock songs, shall we? You be the judge, dear reader.

Of course, this rather explicit attack on the space program is just one of many even much more popular ones like Elton John's and David Bowie AKA Ziggy Stardust, etc. I won't waste the space copying these out here. But I hope you get my drift...

The Legacy of the Wanton Destruction of Human Creativity

The Islamic Renaissance had its obscurantist opponent in al-Ghazali who wrote The Destruction as an attack on the Socratic Theodicy of  ibn Sina, et al. It is provably the case as noted by Dante's Divine Comedy that the route of reviving the methodology of Socratic reason to escape from the dark ages ran through the works of those inspired scholars. Of which, the Abyssinian Caliphate of Harun al-Rashid is said to have valued great books more than gold in erecting his great House of Wisdom library.  

So too, the European Golden Renaissance was plagued by its own obscurantist oligarchical enemies. The touchstone for this for English speaking audiences in the U.S. at least comes by way of the imperial British magical cults. William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe valiantly and polemically opposed the Venetian spawned sorcerer's apprentices like John Dee. One such was Robert Burton who wrote the ponderous tome of forgotten superstitious babble named The Anatomy of Melancholy. I read this because I was curious as to the origin of Keats' poem The Eve of St. Agnes in that volume. The concluding stretto of all of Burton's monotonous praise of magical nonsense like using precious stones to cure all manner of illness, I was soon to find out was none other than an advertisement for Rosicrucianism. 

(I may be one of the few that have read this as well as Alexander von Humboldt's magnificent antidote The Cosmos, in English translation.) 

Just now, I ran across a very sad example of a trend that has been running rampant for some months in the babblings of pseudoscientific researchers promoting psychotomimetic drugs like LSD as therapeutics. These lost souls are every bit the heirs of erstwhile Nazi doctors. Here is a Google search on "LSD as social therapy." It lists "About 1,910,000 results (0.51 seconds)" I hear Oregon has decriminalized all illicit drugs... Democracy at work...

The beat goes on... As we descend circling upon the wings of Geryon into the abyss of the Inferno where sits Satan frozen in Hell.

Cervantes as a Polemicist Against Formal Logic

 As I have noted previously, Miguel de Cervantes was a leading conspirator in the mold of Leibniz and Franklin for a project that would have overturned the evils of oligarchism. This is no mere accident. For great art, as his Don Quixote assuredly is, by its very nature intervenes upon the psyche of humanity and thereby produces material effects in promoting what Benjamin Franklin adopted as a lifelong commitment from Cotton Mather, i.e. "to do the good." 

In particular, I refer here to Cervantes' poetic demonstration that the character of formulaic pragmatism in life is deadening to actual creativity. Reading Don Quixote from the first page to the end there is a consistency of purpose that indeed unifies the entirety of the work (which is a sine qua non of all art of any form.) It is a polemic. However, it is never put into any simplistic propositional form and therein lies the irony of the standard of living art. It is immortal in that sense. 

This is why the essence of poetic mentation, qua the creative faculty of higher intelligibility, must guide humanity's necessary mission of space colonization. For what classes of problems will we as a species meet with there?  And even the enumeration of poetic devices alone is not sufficient as a roadmap for the type of creative problem solving that we will be called upon to perform once we emerge onto that platform of human history. 

But the true aesthetic comprehension of the work of the world historical creative genius Cervantes, or his partner Shakespeare is.

Harmony Abounds in This Best of All Possible Worlds

The untutored imagination of the child needs no prompting to be filled with deep wonder at the beauty of this world. Everyone has a touchstone in memory of some such emotion evoked by this ongoing and emerging and uncanny harmony. The deliberate elevation of the mundane by the artistic composition is the aim of the highest and exalted love for humanity sometimes known by the Greek word agape. 

This morning a unique planetary system's discovery came to my attention. It has been given the very uninspiring name TOI-178. However, it should be named in honor of that giant in the annals of astronomy Johannes Kepler. Perhaps Keplerworld. 

This system is in harmonic resonant alignment in its ratio's of  five out of the six of planetary orbits around its star. They are 18:9:6:4:3 for their orbital periods. Thus this amazing discovery upholds and once again confirms the genius of the profound poetic science of  Kepler's discovery of the elliptic harmonic ratios of our own planetary system and the much maligned principle of Leibniz that we live in the best of all possible worlds.

 

This graphic shows a representation of the TOI-178 planetary system, which was revealed by ESA's exoplanet watcher CHEOPS. The system consists of six exoplanets, five of which are locked in a rare rhythmic dance as they orbit their central star. The two inner planets have terrestrial densities (like Earth) and the outer four planets are gaseous (with densities like Neptune and Jupiter). The five outer planets follow a rhythmic dance as they move in their orbits. This phenomenon is called orbital resonance, and it means that there are patterns that repeat themselves as the planets go around the star, with some planets aligning every few orbits. While the planets in the TOI-178 system orbit their star in a very orderly manner, their densities do not follow any particular pattern. One of the exoplanets, a dense, terrestrial planet like Earth is right next to a similar-sized but very fluffy planet ­­– like a mini-Jupiter, and next to that is one very similar to Neptune. Astronomers did not expect to find this lay-out in a planetary system, and this discovery challenges current theories of planet formation. Big Bang Theorists Versus Real Poetic Inspiration

 I came today across another in an apparently endless sequence of  wild eyed theories about the "big bang" epoch. Usually I don't comment much on these fabulous musings obviously meant to pocket some grant for mathematical twaddle. However this latest headline, "Scientists find black holes could reach 'stupendously large' sizes" gave me pause for reflection on the problem of why students are "turned off" from "science." 

I harken back to that much admired promoter of the wonders of science and pothead Carl Sagan's awestruck mantra of "billions and billions of stars." Edgar Poe wrote (my emphasis italicized) in his Rationale of Verse about the symmetry of rhyme this: 

To return to equality. Its idea embraces those of similarity, proportion, identity, repetition, and adaptation or fitness. It might not be very difficult to go even behind the idea of equality, and show both how and why it is that the human nature takes pleasure in it, but such an investigation would, for any purpose now in view, be supererogatory. It is sufficient that the fact is undeniable — the fact that man derives enjoyment from his perception of equality. Let us examine a crystal. We are at once interested by the equality between the sides and between the angles of one of its faces: the equality of the sides pleases us; that of the angles doubles the pleasure. On bringing to view a second face in all respects similar to the first, this pleasure seems to be squared; on bringing to view a third it appears to be cubed, and so on. The problem is the cloying dullness of such theoretical phantasms when true science should be an ennobling mission to "do the good" for the benefit of future generations. The claim that "pure science" is just some disconnected theorizing a la Jonathan Swift's Laputa, like today's "string theory of the landscape" of innumerable multidimensional alternate universes is in the end just so much intellectual onanism.

For an example of true poetic of aesthetic wonder Keats sonnet is among the best ever composed (even though the encyclopedists might quibble over Cortez):

Little Toot, Baruch Plan, Korean War, Bertrand Russell World Government

 In 1948 the Walt Disney company issued a film in the midst of the postwar baby boom called Little Toot. Five years later I was born, the son of a father who had served in he Pacific theater and witnessed the signing, along with a vast multitude of others in the Pacific theater, by General MacArthur of the end of the WWII onboard the USS Missouri on September 2nd, 1945. 

My father, like the majority of his generation believed that the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japanese territories was what forced their surrender. However, this is not the real reason for the use of nuclear weapons. In 1946 Harry Truman, the quondam haberdasher puppet of Churchill, okayed the policy put forward at the United Nations supposed to stop nuclear weapons proliferation. Called the Baruch Plan, it really was a plan for world government to "prevent nuclear war." This failed whereby the "pacifist philosopher" Bertrand Russell decided to take his royal gloves off and show himself as the blood thirsty geopolitician he truly was.  In 1947, Lord Russell wrote the following:

"I should like to see as soon as possible as close a union as possible of these countries who think it worth while to avoid atomic war. I think you could get so powerful an alliance that you could turn to Russia and say, "It is open to you to join this alliance if you will agree to the terms; if you will not join us we shall go to war with you." I am inclined to think that Russia would acquiesce; if not, provided this is done soon, the world might survive the resulting war and emerge with a single government such as the world needs." (United Empire 39, 1948)

The Soviets refused Russell's plan for world government when they rejected the Baruch Plan. Not convinced they could trust the Truman Administration that had carried out those atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In the meantime, America was subjected to cultural psychological warfare aimed at instilling hysteria, fear and pessimism preventing any attempt at effecting Franklin Delano Roosevelt's postwar plan to end "the methods of British colonialism." This psy war was two pronged. One was inducing mass hysteria via the cold war threat of nuclear annihilation. This led to McCarthyism anti communism red scares, which at the time of my early youth, I have a vague memory of my father being visited late one night by threatening g-men regarding putting a stop to his union organizing. Also, the very same Lord Russell embarked upon a scheme to promote irrationality as so called freedom in the arts with his founding sponsorship of the CIA funded Congress for Cultural Freedom. (Now called the Open Society Foundations of George Soros, who "liberally" endowed it with 32 billion dollars.)

The Korean war, as the first in a series of geopolitical forever wars found Douglas MacArthur objecting to would be imitators of Russell's population war methods in response for plans to firebomb civilians in North Korea. Answering then General O'Donnell who had asked for MacArthur's acquiescence, he said,  "No, Rosie, I'm not prepared to go that far yet. My instructions are very explicit; however, I want you to know that I have no compunction whatever to your bombing bona fide military objectives, with high explosives, in those five industrial centers. If you miss your target and kill people or destroy other parts of the city, I accept that as a part of war." MacArthur went on to advised JFK to get out of Viet Nam shortly before he was assassinated.

I remember my paternal grandfather calling me "Little Toot," saying, "Little Toot -- just trying to get by in this world." This would have been some ten years after this Disney film was released. This phrase thereafter always stuck in my craw... And until this morning, I hadn't ever looked up the reference. However, the reason this rather innocuous sounding sentence bothered me was that it struck me as the the prevalent unwholesome cultural dictum of the time of the passive "company man" of "go along to get along, don't make waves." 

Thus it strikes me today, that the return to "normalcy," (Harry Truman's very own charming neologism for "normality") means the wholesale resurrection of the incoming administration of Russell's geopolitical and cultural agenda in new clothes. "Recreational drugs" are being legalized to decorticate a new generation and the false narrative of climate change is being pounced upon in a "flight forward" rush by Biden's handlers to bring on the Great Reset/Green New Deal. Soon a blowout of the bubble will occur along with more forever wars and the takedown of the space colonization mission. In the meantime, the American people need a little education in American system economics, otherwise we are doomed to repeat the ever downward spiral toward further chaos.

The Night's Plutonian Geopolitical Shore

 As Trump said in his departing address, he was an outsider to the D.C. Beltway. Therefore that alone made him a target, all the more so by his overt defiance of Comey and the Company of Intel Agencies. As that memorable quote by the current Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer on intel agencies getting Trump "six ways from Sunday." 

The problem though in my estimation that has led to the current push toward shut down on the freedom of speech and even overt calls for reeducation of the deplorable rabble, is that Trump himself was too entangled with the miserable likes of Pompeo and Bannon. 

The LaRouche movement and others, myself as well, had rightly exposed the Saudis and British Intelligence as behind Al Qaeda's 9/11 World Trade Center massacre. The Pompeo claim that Iran is behind all Islamic terror is a lie. Trump almost from day one of his Presidency went to Saudi Arabia, next named Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and engineered via Pompeo and alliance with the Sunni Wahhabi feudalists and Israel. This fuse has been lit due to the placating of the loony American Armageddonists version of the second coming. 

The case of Steve Bannon and the Henry Jackson, English Speaking Union is another problem that has seeded yet another potential for an outbreak by miscalculation with China.

Now, we have the Clintonistas with their unfinished business with their Russian friends... Hillary recently was quoted that Trump probably called Putin to get and OK for an insurrection (!) 

And yet, there may be a few forlorn shoots that may not die of canker. I must say that I am particularly delighted that nuclear rocketry for a Mars colonization mission may be afoot (even

Rolls Royce and Elon Musk may be partnering as rumor has it.) And it has just come to my attention that there is a proposal to set up a human colony in the orbit of Ceres. This of course should be named in honor of Riemann's immortal teacher Karl Gauss. 

The Truth Will Set You Free

I am hopeful, dear reader, this etching of Rembrandt's Adam and Eve will not be whited out by the "AI" bots. However, please refer to an image if so that links here. This posting will refer to this image as a standard for conveying the dramatic irony of truthfulness and beauty. 

If you direct your gaze to the face of Adam what do you see? Like the many self portraits of Rembrandt, what I cannot but marvel at is a soul amidst unrest and mental dilemma. Leonardo and Raphael managed the like within the confines of the prescribed ideal form of human nakedness. (Leonardo, in fact, in his notebooks made clear that the artist should not be so entranced with his own image that it be taken as a model for this ideal.) However, Rembrandt did not adhere to the said stylistic  injunction of the day.

What is the political reality of today's affairs? If we, like Rembrandt, were to dare to lay bare all in its stark humanity in truthful forms, perhaps less than accepted mode of performance art's model of popular entertainment? 

We have, since our acquiescence to a monstrous lie, been living in mental terror of the evil geopolitical framework of mutually assured destruction. The lie was that it was necessary for Truman to assent to the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end WWII. Ever since that point, the psychological framework for the future of humanity has been dictated from an embedded and quite viciously evil oligarchy. 

I, and my former comrades, promulgated a strategic option to end this deliberately imposed psychological warfare that came to be known by the term of belittlement engendered through the control of the mass media by that same oligarchy as "star wars." Why and how was this proposal for ending the reign of terror through mutual collaboration of developing technologies based upon new physical principles that would spill over to revive our wrecked and looted industrial economy defeated? Essentially, because of the manipulation of a psychologically crippled little people that had accepted the big lie upon which the postwar liberal order world governance maintained power.  

So, instead of the truth that could have turned over the chess board we got the same polarities of mental chains like Jonathan Swift's Lilliputians fighting over chimeras of mental figments. The problem is that when we chase after these in order to finance a movement, we leave the truth behind. For in the end, it serves not to cater to backwardness rather than bringing the naked truth with its warts and all to light, for only then may we actually challenge humanity to look upon its foibles and start upon the painful yet healthful path of self consciously becoming aware. Without that any movement will necessarily come to nought.

Today we have a deployment of the agents of geopolitics via religious movements and institutions. On one hand, the Pope is all in on the Green New Deal/Great Reset. (See Biden and Pelosi...) On the other hand we  the supposed pro Israel/Jewish lobby as God's chosen people bringing the prophecy of Armageddon crew.

As if this weren't enough, we have the Tucker Carlson anti China operation on deck...

Duck and Cower, "Celebrating" 70 Years of Psychological Warfare

Soon, the memories of the teachers that had their students drilled to crouch beneath their desks will be all but gone. For I am the ripe old age of near 68 and my teachers had to have been at the very least in their early twenties back then. The time of the duck and cover conditioning began in 1951, a decade before the "edge of destruction" Cuban Missile crisis. What did this do to our collective psyches? 

Jackson Pollock, a victim of Jungian psychotherapy, started his "drip period" at about the same time as the duck and cover psy-ops began. The CIA meanwhile started promoting this literal insanity on canvas as "modern art" of free expression against communism through it's sponsorship of Bertrand Russell led Congress for Cultural Freedom. Today, its successor organization is run by none other than George Soros, the financier of so called color revolutions around the globe. 

The next act was the foray into "research" of mind control via hallucinogens in the CIA project MK Ultra in or around 1953. Thus the irrationality of freedom could be minted a decade later as the counterculture of Timothy Leary's "Turn on, Tune in, Drop out"  mantra could be force fed to those same children that previously huddled beneath their desks for fear of nuclear obliteration. Cool...

And now we are legalizing dope and criminalizing free speech in the "information age" of consumer "gig economy." Qui Bono? Who benefits? It ain't me babe...

 

Chirality and Life

 Even in these benighted times, every once in a while there appears a glimmer of scientific genius that come almost like manna to salve one's despairing mentality. Today, in the midst of my wonted perusal of what passes for scientific inquiry, I came across a rather remarkable bit of hypothesizing about the molecular chiral organization of water. 

In other words, water is so constituted that it conforms congruently to the essential property of organic chirality. Here we see the legacy of Pasteur. The anomalous boundary of living and inorganic afford us the precise vehicle to research what the leader of the true scientific approach, Leibniz clarified as the harmonic underpinning of natural law that makes the constitution of this world the best among all possibilities. And in doing so puts to rest for all but the most diehard blockheads among us that the ordering of our universe is, in potential, always characterized by an evolvability to higher levels of more order.

In this, we find consolation that our struggles to lay the groundwork for unremitting human progress will eventually bear fruit no matter how much those of ill will work to prevent it.

The Space Program's Benefit for Humanity in Its Universal Context

The Christian Humanist Renaissance held that that logos or the word, i.e. reason, being made flesh was understood that mankind was made in the living image of God the creator. And was given a new dispensation and right to uncover the laws of nature for the well being of future generations. 

It is this type of love for humanity that inherently has a power that may not be overcome by any tyranny because it is based upon immutable truth. It has a power beyond all reckoning in the here and now because it unfolds continuously in time as scientific progress, yet is unbounded in the simultaneous sempiternal realm beyond time. 

Thus it is that our better selves, each and every human on this planet, in principle, have a unique correspondence that resonates in harmony with the great mission and purpose for exploring and developing our civilization in space. It is in that particular sense that we are all united with our past hard-fought victory over lawless arbitrary rule of irrational oligarchies that would deny our real creative and universal identities. 

This mission may not ever be defeated and eradicated unless humanity is no more. And this is the context with which everything that is occurring on the political stage of current world history must be strategically organized to bring about this one unifying and necessary future. All nations and all faiths, our science, technology and art can only come into congruence and peace by adopting and fulfilling its promise.

On Lincoln's Preamble of Malice Toward None

This morning, I awoke with a shocking and welcome surprise that Julian Assange had his extradition request denied. It is perhaps a portent that the power of the Five Eyes is weakened to a degree. However, we must expect that like a wounded beast they will counter attack, of course. To be sure, the current head of the CIA, Gina Haspel is enmired in the methods of lawlessness of that rogue agency's misdeeds. 

And, as well, we have the prospect of a continuing attempt at any cost to bring into being a dictatorship corporatist state that even Orwell couldn't have imagined. The only pathway out is to uplift all mankind to a higher purpose. For in the end, without that sine qua non, all the exposes of the inveterate evil doers of the Assanges and Snowdens will come to naught. Society will fail. 

But we do have the spirit of Abraham Lincoln, who had he lived, would have led this nation out of the crisis. If we take up the mission that this country represents for the world here, and in space for millenia to come we cannot fail. For the universe is so wondrously composed that if we apply the effort to conquer with good will our worldly needs and wants with malice toward none, we may not fail. And in that we may be gladdened in heart and justly celebrate that which makes each and everyone among us truly human. Our likeness to ever lessen our imperfections and come into conformity with the merciful principle that unites us.

Mankind's Manifest Destiny of Space Colonization

Forty four years ago, in 1976, the Soviet Union returned a sample of lunar soil. The Chinese just returned another sample from the far side of the moon. America failed in its leadership and mission in those two generations that were lost to an abiding cultural pessimism. As I recall, the battle of the elite establishment against the mission for humanity to enter an unprecedented era of prosperity and achievement was waged on multiple levels from the 1960s onward. 

The simple minded and utterly false refrain was that money that was being wasted in space was needed to alleviate poverty here on earth. However, the less obvious, yet just as malign subversion came from the "entertainment industry." This was the new age paradigm shift as it spread its noxious contagion of pessimism throughout the pores of society. 

Barring cataclysmic events precipitated by the authors of the geopolitical "Great Reset" and its "Green New Deal" lunacy, humanity is yet again on the precipice of the age of space colonization and reason. All the power that our putative elites have in the end is the destruction of the universal desire in the imagination of the people of this planet to make a future worthy of our undying quest for discovering and conquering the untold power of the stars that we see unfurling ahead of us. 

What the elites fail to comprehend is that this mission cannot so easily be snuffed out because it is the indissoluble and essential nature of us all. So, it is with that thought and Beethoven's Choral Fantasy that I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Open Letter to John Tresch Esq. of the Warburg Institute Regarding His Defamation of Edgar Poe

 I read with interest your essay "Matter No More": Edgar Allan Poe and the Paradoxes of Materialism. Your framing of the meaning of the arabesque in Poe (by the way using his middle name should be put aside due to the taint of being on the same footing as an assassin or mass murderer) was certainly interesting. But the avoidance entirely of Poe's politics and mischaracterization of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes as based upon Dupin are telling. For Holmes was no Dupin, but rather totally of the deductive "creeping and crawling" (to cite Poe) method. My ears pricked up at that point. 

And yes, Poe's Eureka did identify the "Hoggian" method with Francis Bacon. But you left out that Hogg was also a reference to James Hogg, the murderer and so called Ettrick Shepherd Bard sponsored by none other than Sir Walter Scott. 

Finally, the imputation that Poe's Eureka was somehow an eternal recurrence cum pantheistic obscurantism finally quite burned my same ears...

It was only after I finished reading the essay that I found you are with the Warburg Institute. Then it all made sense. I recalled a presentation I attended many years hence by Gerald Rose of the Schiller Institute entitled: How The Venetians Took Over England and Created Freemasonry In it the Warburg Institute of  your colleague Frances Yates is exposed as nothing more than a Delphic branch of the Rosicrucian cabalistic mumbo jumbo of the likes of John Dee (007) of British Imperialism. 

So it all came together for me at once. You needn't deny any of this. It is an all too transparent hit job on Poe.

Riemann's Uber die Hypothesen and the Non Commutativity of Forces

As is evident from Riemann's great roadmap for scientific progress "The Hypotheses that are the Foundations of Geometry," Riemann, in spirit, followed Kepler's injunction against reliance on algebra for determining physical causality. Riemann, as well, avoided the error of Cartesianism that Leibniz warned against.   

The which is encompassed in especially two main ideas from that work that operate together in the fashion of a musical dialogue in a great fugue. One that asserts "The questions about the infinitely great are for the interpretation of nature useless questions. (...)We are therefore quite at liberty to suppose that the metric relations of space in the infinitely small do not conform to the hypotheses of geometry; and we ought in fact to suppose it, if we can thereby obtain a simpler explanation of phenomena." 

In other words, there is evidence of a breakdown in the infinitely large and infinitely small of normal geometrical relationships. Indeed, isn't this precisely what the quantum world challenges us with? Our normal assumptions based upon reasoning from our macroscopic world break down. For how can a thing be simultaneously a wave and particle as well as participating in superposition. This violates our geometrical assumptions based upon our visual manifold of what an identity of a "thing" is, after all.

At the other end of the spectrum in the infinitely large, we are confronting another daunting paradox. It seems that unknown forces are propelling galaxies to rotate out of synch with gravity. Additionally, the very fabric of spacetime itself is measured to be constantly expanding by a factor denoted as lambda. 

The other principle that Riemann appended to his great Gedankenexperiment was that one must set aside all prejudices when embarking upon the realm of physics, "Researches starting from general notions, like the investigation we have just made, can only be useful in preventing this work from being hampered by too narrow views, and progress in knowledge of the interdependence of things from being checked by traditional prejudices. This leads us into the domain of another science, of physic, into which the object of this work does not allow us to go today."

Now it is the case that Einstein, in his breakthrough relativity theory, did precisely as Riemann had supplied in the body of his hypotheses by adopting a curved spacetime in a particular four dimensional manifold by challenging "traditional prejudices." However, Einstein encountered a roadblock in attempting to formulate a "unified field theory."

Now, it occurs to me that when speaking of forces qua geometrical relationships in the realm of the physically non-living, at the level of the infinitesimal, we have a breakdown of the principle of Cartesian "empty" metrical space. Otherwise, how can we justify the strong and weak nuclear forces as operating disparately in a continuous manifold. And at the same time that we can prove that the quantum realm is itself discontinuous? 

Likewise, at the realm of the infinitely large the rotational forces holding together galaxies operate in a somehow different fashion than our conception of conventional gravity, or we must imagine the influence of unknown and hidden non luminous particles. But perhaps there is another type of strong force at this infinitely large realm analogous to that which holds the nucleus together? Likewise the weak force of radioactive decay might find a physical analogy somehow in the lambda expansion. 

Now all of this foregoing returns me to Kepler, who approached the geometry of our solar system from a principle that there must be an overall unity of lawful harmony in the planetary elliptical orbits. It is from this standpoint that Leibniz developed his own Monadological approach to unification of what Vernadsky would later further refine as the realms of Lithosphere, Biosphere and Noosphere.

Because, echoing Riemann's warning above, when attempting to unify forces, one must depart the framework of the inert non living. This is so because the living lesser monads have a sort of primitive force, a connatus, that separates themselves hermetically from the non living. For while being constituted from the same atoms as the non living, the living force is radically non commutative, in an analogous manner that there are distinct transfinite numerical orderings as demonstrated by Georg Cantor. Likewise, within the realm of the Noosphere of creative human mentation there is a transfinite boundary separating all other lifeforms. We humans have the unique capacity of reason. However, this capacity is not some mystical substance. Rather it is our willful capability to overcome physical and biological limits of the lower realms of reality. 

The Continuing Relevance of Leibnizian Science

Leibniz stringently demonstrated a physical geometric basis for harmonic action across the domains of universal reality. The qualitative differences among these were defined as associated with lower and higher monads. 

A very recent brilliant study on sound wave propagation through a fermionic "perfect fluid" illustrates the remarkable foresight of Leibniz' enduring contribution to scientific methodology. The state of this lab created fluid was achieved by creating a condition where all individual fermions operate as strongly interacting lithium-6 atoms of extremely low viscosity. Such man made systems are models for extreme anomalous naturally occuring exotic conditions such as neutron stars. This type of research includes Bose Einstein condensates and superconducting materials.

The connection to Leibniz is just this: at the level of harmonic interaction of individual monads there are higher monads, the highest being the indivisible human "soul," and lower monads. A system of such monads that resonates harmonically, Leibniz characterized as a pre-established ordering. Thus evidence of a universal lawfulness that must partake of a continuing process of unfolding or becoming toward more, not less, perfection concomitant with the ongoing progress of human economic interaction with nature.

This harmony extends to all realms of physical reality. Indeed in the referenced experiment, the fermionic monads are among the very lowest order possible to the extent that they almost have totally lost their individual differences. This is what gives them their near quantum frictionless fluidity. The ability to create a resonance of soundwaves in this laboratory created gas is a technological achievement in the footsteps of Leibnizian science that will allow humanity to further progress.
