UnChristian Values-- Obama AND Santorum Have Plenty Enough to Go Around

All politics is schizophrenic these days...Santorum clumsily alleges that Obama's environmentalist worldview amounts to a theology. It does in fact. It's well known as the so called Gaia hypothesis and is old as the primordial ooze.
On the other hand, Santorum is wont to piously intone that the US must bomb Iran now. What is this but a warped Armageddonist phony theology?

Unfortunately, unless the people garner enough sense to reject such lunacy from both sides, I'm afraid the pox (or perhaps better fallout,) so to speak, will be on all our houses.

Thingumbob, I have to disagree with you on "Obama's environmentalist worldview amounts to a theology." (At least I think I do, because I'm not sure what you're talking about here.)

Are you saying that climate change is not happening? That attempts to develop alternate fuels is not important? That respect for our environment is a religion? Or are you saying that President Obama worships trees and sacred glens and the assorted deities large and small believed by primative people to inhabit them? Or are you saying that he believes the earth is a living, breathing organism in its own right?

I'm not trying to be snarky here. I simply do not know where you are coming from

    1. What sets humanity apart from all other known life forms is our unique creative capacity to develop the means of continuously increasing our standard of living. For example, there has been a proposal to resolve our nations' lack of fresh water replenishment on the books from the 1960s from Parson's engineering called NAWAPA. We should have funded nuclear fusion research like we did Apollo. Instead, it is being defunded along with the manned space program. Today's Democratic Party has failed John Kennedy's vision. The Republicans have proven to be no better with their mania for austerity against the weakest members of society. Both parties worship at a different side of the same altar: the worship of money. They both believe they someone must suffer to pay back debt. Debt that was fictitiously created to bailout scoundrels...
